Re: 7 Deadly Sins -- Wrath
I'm gonna be honest, my job has made me a pretty angry person here lately. I hate the system I work in, it sets people up to fail. I hate how my clients are treated and stigmatized. I hate that the Director of the facility that I work in is scared of my clients and sees psychotic symptoms as a threat to her facility. I hate that the system is close minded and refuses to change.
There are days that I feel borderline violent about the roadblocks I deal with on a daily basis. Hence my desire to leave the field - I don't like the person this field is turning me into.
Fitting that this is today. I'm a slow fuse kind of person, and usually it takes a lot of things combined to set me off, but I do get pretty wrathy when people try to use the government to take my rights away- today's focus is on my right to take prescribed hormone pills. My friend just posted an NPR article on how some groups are trying to make health insurance take away copays for birth control. Just because some religious groups oppose planned pregnancies and all that. Well you know, for some people, contraception is actually a downside of birth control. I don't understand why these groups keep focusing on the preventing pregnancy part of the pill and ignoring the beneficial hormone therapy.

I've been told that I'm patient to a fault. There are only two things in life that make me wrathful: sitting in traffic and slow moving lines. I can handle people and injustice and things.
Well, I also almost stabbed a gas station attendent, because this hillbilly place didn't take plastic or checks. Only cash. They tell you this after you pump gas.
Stand up for something you believe in.
I'm like wamo--slow fuse and it usually has to build up for quite some time (not healthy, as I tend to bottle up my negative feelings). But once it gets too much, Pompeii better watch out.
My anger is really bad in the fact that I make myself seem smarter than the person I'm wrath-ing on. I.e. argument with SIL where I had to point out the difference between an opinion and a fact.
Andplusalso, I've been trying REAAAAALLLY hard not to post this on my FB account:

Ditto. I have a really bad temper and can hold a serious grudge.
