Our mailman is usually on the ball, and we've had a crappy guy covering for him for the last week, so I was looking forward to him coming back yesterday. I had a box I had to leave by the mailbox (he usually comes around the same time, and I was outside watching it anyway), as well as a priority envelope that I put inside our box. He took the box and then put our mail right on top of the envelope! Seriously? Luckily, I had to go out anyway, so I just dropped it in the box nearby, but come on!
Other than that, I'd just like Jeffery to get over this screaming at me phase he's going through. Not cool.

Hopefully SF will let me mail back the ruined coupons and send me new ones.
I changed my mind...
I was lurking on another board and they were discussing SAHM/SAHDs and salaries. I guess we live a semi-plush life, sure doesn't seem like it. I look at our expenses and wish we could live comfortably off the amounts that they listed their single working home brought in.

If there's a branch you can walk into, I'd go in there, ask to speak to a manager and threaten with contacting the OCC. Make sure first that they are a national bank and covered by the OCC. Banks don't like that very much.

My tirade goes out to all the gnats flying around my house. I swear we are not disgusting people, why are you making me feel like Pigpen?
Another tirade goes out to the bugs that bit DD. FIL babysat yesterday and he took her out for a walk. This morning, she has a bite on her face, her arm and her neck. I don't know if it happened during the walk or if bugs are biting her at night in her room. She had an infected bug bite last week and we had to lay out $50 for an antibacterial cream because there was no generic equivalent!

I gotcha covered, Pooks. Before I worked in cancer, I worked with fruit flies.... .. they got out... a lot. haha
Take a cup -- a disposable paper/plastic one if you have it -- and put some combination of mushed up banana (the older the better) and/or peanut butter and/or molasses in it (I know.. gross). Take a piece of paper and make it into a funnel with just a teeeeeeeeeeeeny hole left open (it has to basically look too small for the gnats to fit). put the funnel into the cup so that the top wide part touches the cup, and seal the outside of the funnel to the outside of the cup with tape -- so the only way into the cup to get the delicious goodness is through the hole. Gnats go in, and they can't get out. After say 12h, put the whole cup into a ziplock and pop it in the freezer for 5min (this kills them), then tranfer to the trash.
ETA: if you don't have a disposable cup, you'll just have to scoop the mess into the trash after freezing. I'd probably omit the molasses if going this route. haha
I think it's time for Dan to sit by the mailbox until the mailman comes.

I hate JC Penny's right now. We ordered rugs from them a little over 2 weeks ago, and also bought new throw pillows and curtains to match them.. the rugs were being shipped straight from the manufacturer and were supposed to be here within 2 weeks. So we hung the new curtains and ahve been using the new pillows and all. DH called today because it's been over 2 weeks and the rugs aren't here. They were discontinued, the manufacturer cancelled the order and nobody bothered to let us know. Nice, huh?
Hopefully we can find stuff to go with what we bought since the curtains area already hung and we've been using the pillows and all. Penny's offered to take it all back, even though we don't have the packaging for any of it, but I feel kind of bad about that.. I don't want them reselling this stuff that we've been living with (with our kid and dogs) for two weeks.. that's just ick.
My CW has to have something to say to evvvverything. It results in her talking in circles, making no sense, and driving me crazy. I swear she makes crap up, constantly contradicting herself, but she won't stop! I call her on it all the time. Or I ignore her, and then say, "Are you done? b/c here's what you need to do. Done, simple, you talk too much...it doesn't get anything accomplished."
If we're in the car and not talking....she's reading every sign we pass out loud. But, she reads it like it's hooked on phonics. Walllll-greeeens. See-Vee-Essssss. I think quiet makes her uncomfortable.
I just had a particularly annoying convo with her. Got my blood boiling a bit.
