How do you feel about this?

Re: How do you feel about this?

  • It doesn't really bother me.  It wouldn't have changed the outcome.

I'm not an attorney but I'm fairly certain the defense could have also investigated and verified the info and failed to do so.

I agree, but I hate that these things are coming out now.  And I'm sure there are both sides that left stuff "off the table".

Isn't that what trials usually entail, is to see which side can present the story in the light that best suits them, while keeping the rest of the story as much in the dark as possible, without outright lying?  Although, this could technically be lying by omission, if they knew the data was faulty and continued to use it... but you're right, it wouldn't have changed anything.  Now, if it had been a mistake the other way around, say, 840 times instead of 84, how would that make you feel?

  • It doesn't bother me since she got off.  However, if this came out and she was sitting on death row, that's different.  I personally read alot into the fact that she supposedly was sitting around at home reading all about how to drug her daughter with chloroform.

On another note, the 4th floor of our parking garage smelled like death yesterday.  I was gagging all the way out to my friend's car.  It's a huge parking garage--and the smell was overpowering.  Obviously, there was no dead body in our parking garage, and even if there was, it could not have made the whole garage smell so foul.  The first thing I thought of was how maybe Casey's trunk could have possibly been contaminated by something else--when I formerly thought it was impossible.

  • I think the whole thing was a mess.  This sounds kinda fishy, but it almost makes me feel like this story was planted to put some doubt in people's minds to ease the hatred people feel for Casey.  Now that she's "free" her life will never be "normal."  It's hard to completely be at ease with this decision because in the back of my mind, I keep thinking, "why did everyone act so wierd?!"  Ok, I'll shut up now...

  • I agree with Tiffany.  However, I'm not sure that it doesn't matter how many times she looked it up.  She could have had the one search and read links from that search all day long.  It still only counts as one search right?  Just wondering.

The prosecution is supposed to turn over all discovery, however I don't really like her defense team (shooting the middle finger at the media so not classy) so I don't really care in this instance.  They still got their verdict.  I feel a little bad about saying this.  I love Law and Order, I wanted to be a lawyer, I had a great time being on a jury (yes, really).  I love the legal system.  It sucks sometimes but I should not be quite as "I don't care" in this instance.
