We're throwing a baby shower for my cousin and his wife on August 6th, and I'm in charge of decorations (essentially). They're having a girl, so I've loosely themed "Sugar and Spice" with a pink and brown color scheme. So far, I've sent out this invitation: CLICKY with the phrase "Sugar and spice and everything nice...that's what little girls are made of!" in the pink area on top.
My friend and I are going to make brown and pink cake pops as favors (she used to work at a bakery, so they should be good).
That's about all I've got, so far. Any inexpensive pink and brown decoration ideas? The shower will be outdoors (weather permitting) at my mom's house. We're only expecting 10 or so people.

What about some easy bunting? Get a skein of pink yarn and some cheap fabric? I'm not sure if you have outdoor space to hang stuff, but bunting it always cute!
If you want to do anything floral, maybe some mason jars with wildflowers or bunches of "filler" flowers? I think filler flowers look just as pretty as fancy flowers!
Another simple thing, if you were to get some fabric for bunting, is cut fabric squares to make little napkins, or strips to make t]able unners. I've also seen long piece of ribbon run along tables to add some color.
Have fun!

Definitely flowers...I like the mason jar idea too.
I found some pretty cute paper lanterns at the dollar store by us for my SIL's shower, they really softened the look of the shower being outside, and added a little bit more of a fancy feeling. I hooked them onto the tree branches.
I knew you guys would have some good ideas! I love the flowers in mason jars idea, and I'm definitely going to look at the Dollar Store for paper lanterns since I love the way those look. There aren't too many trees in my parents' yard, but I'm sure I can find someplace to hang them. If we end up doing it indoors, I'm definitely loading the ceiling with crepe paper streamers.
"Easy bunting" seems like an oxymoron to me, but it is SO cute. I wanted to do a "Sugar and Spice" banner, but I'm afraid it'll look like a preschool project, hahaha. Any tips/pointers?

For centerpieces you could swirl sugar and cinnamon in a jar and/or other spices.
A diaper cake? Those are always really cute.
I like the idea of the paper lanterns. And a banner.
I'm not much help, huh? lol Sorry.
