Random Thoughts Tuesday

Re: Random Thoughts Tuesday

  • Carly was up at 2am. I think she may be going through a growth spurt (hopefully!) or I'm starting to not produce enough milk. :( She was up again and 6 and stayed awake and fussy while I was getting ready for work.

There were chickens on the side of the road on my way to work. :)

I only had two emails when I got in this morning. :)

    It's freaking hot. :(

Ryan got a ticket in the mail for running a red light in DE when we were on our way to the beach... or home from the beach. Grrr. I remember him doing it, too. It was one of those lights that doesn't have an arrow for a left turn and we were waiting forever (not that I'm condoning it, I just remember it.) I bet they get a lot of people at that light.

We decided not to exchange Christmas gifts with my siblings this year. It makes sense (we'll each have a child) but it still makes me sad. And speaking of the holidays, I want to go crazy buying presents for Carly and my nephews but know that I can't.

Health insurance for the 3 of us, Carly's daycare and our medical and dependent care FSAs come out of my paycheck. We will get reimbursed for the dependent care FSA, but I now bring home a quarter of what I used to every paycheck. Indifferent

I can't wait for my newest nephew to arrive! We know his name starts with an A so my sis, mom and I keep guessing, lol. And I hope my sis and bil find out the sex of the new baby.

I wish I was a neat freak or enjoyed cleaning.

I desperately need a hair cut, just need to find the time.

We have no major plans for the next few weekends, love it! Hopefully we get a lot accomplished while having time to enjoy our family and relax.

  • I think Robert is going through a growth spurt too. He was sleeping 7-6 and now is up just about every 4-5 hours to eat. I wish my dog walker would return my email. I hate when I have to call her after already sending an email. I'm really dreading getting up at 4am to go to DC tomorrow.

  • I hope the docs get back to me soon. I'm tired of waiting and feeling like crap.

We took family pictures on Saturday, and I'm almost positive the photog got like, maybe 10 photos of JJ out of the dozens we took. That little boy's attention span is really, REALLY short. Guess we won't be doing outdoor shoots for awhile.

    This hot weather SUCKS.

I don't know why I thought it was a good idea to stay up 'til 2am talking to a friend. I'm way too tired this morning.

  • - I got MD clearance to work out. I went to the gym this morning. I did 25 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes of weights. Yeah. I'm going to be sore tomorrow. Hopefully this will help me lose the last 20 lbs I gained.

-My medicine gives me headaches. I hope it's a side effect that goes away

    - My ILs are coming over today. I'm nervous because it's the first time I've seen them since I told her about my PPD. Ugh.

  • Margot has been waking a lot since 4 months 1 week. I think it's a combination of growth spurt, teething, and 4 month wakeful. She has only STTN a handful of times since then. I'm so ready for her to STTN again on a regular basis! Last night, she woke up at 11:30 (that never happens!), 2:30 but she played and then went back to sleep on her own, and 4:30 to eat. Oy! I'm sick of DH traveling. I wish he was home more. I miss him and I hate that he misses cute things that Margot does and that I have to show him via video. Also, there are so many things I need him to do around the house, but when he's home and not working, we try to take advantage of family time. I really need to go to Target, but Margot has been so fussy lately with this teething business. Any tips, moms? I need to stop baking stuff just because it's allergy free. I end up eating everything by myself. That turned out to be a lot more of venting than random thoughts.

  • I'm super scared of labor and actually having Emily, but I'm so ready to be done with pregnancy. Just over it.

I want a glass of wine. Scratch that - I want a bottle of wine. I spend way to much time actually thinking about this.

Last night I was so hot I almost cried. I was seriously considering making DH take me to Walmart at 11pm to buy window AC units. D*amn the price, we'll just put it on the CC.

My MIL sent me an email today asking if I was still pregnant. This boggles my mind for so many reasons. Mainy because she sits 15 feet away from DH at work. I'm pretty sure that if I went in labor and actually had my baby, that DH would not be sitting there going about his business. She must have just been bored.

I'm starting to second guess going back to school for my MLIS degree, especially starting it in Sept. I'm scared about the cost, not doing well, and just generally not having time to dedicate to it.

  • I felt like Nate's Dr must think I'm a idiot. He is starting to work on his 2-year molars, (YES!! Maybe he'll be done before Baby Brother is born!) and she was giving me tips yesterday on how to soothe his teething - I hadn't asked. He has 16 teeth. We've been through this. I know what helps him (frozen paci and ibuprofen).

I'm quite upset that the freaking heat killed my geranium. And my aloe vera. My begonia has been inside for a couple of months now, but those were supposed to do better in the heat. Guess this was too much.

I'm also upset that the freaking heat is making our electric bill ridiculous. And making my feet swell. And making me drink so much water that I pee all the time.
