QOTD

What was your favorite TV show as a kid?

Re: QOTD

  • I had so many.

Can't think of any besides cartoons as a kid besides Sesame Street, Mr Rogers, Electric Company, The Great Space Coaster, 3-2-1 Contact.

Then there was Growing Pains, Who's the Boss as I got a little older.

ETA:  After reading some other responses I completely forgot about Full House, Family Matters, and Step By Step.  Then the following popped in my head: Silver Spoons, Valerie's Family

  • when i was really little, "Under the Umbrella Tree" (i think it may have been a Canadian show)

when i was a little older, definitely Full House!!!

  • This is hard for me because I'm pretty sure there wasn't a show I didn't like. My mom used to call me the walking TV Guide because I always knew what was on, when and where and always was watching tv. Parents today would scoff at my parents!

  • OO I was also a mega TV watcher as a kid.

I loved The Elephant Show, Zoobalee Zoo(or however it's spelled), Under the Umbrella Tree, Mr. Rogers, Full House, Growing Pains (I cried when that show ended), The Cosby Show(love that this is on netflix now), Wonder Years, Smurfs,

And that is just scratching the surface,  But The Elephant Show was my ultime favorite show before I started school.  I had the records, we went to the live show.  Loved it!

I loved all of these. If it was part of TGIF or on Nickelodeon, there's a good chance I watched. Zoobilee Zoo was awesome, as was Fraggle Rock, and really anything with muppets- Eureka's Castle anyone? The Cosby Show was big at my house as was Growing Pains.

Drew and I were actually watching He-Man the other day on Netflix. I totally think kids today are missing out by not having the message of the show explained again at the end of it. Do kids shows even have messages anymore? You know, other than buy the toy that goes with this show?

    I loooooved Kids Incorporated!!

I agree, Brie, kids are definitely missing out on the message being explained at the end. I think I learned a lot from those shows. They do have messages but I think it can be lost in all the other stuff. I loved me some GI Joe and Jem too!

  • Okay cartoon wise I loooooved Gem, He-Man (then She-Ra which was like the ultimate spin-off), and Voltron. My God did I love Voltron. Oh M.A.S.K was okay too. My best friend liked Thundercats but hated it, we fought about it on ocassion. LOL

Oh and wow I forgot about Double Dare and Fun House. Please tell me someone rememebers Fun House (with JD Roth LOL). I think there were twin cheerleaders or something too.
