no fun today.

I guess I am going to have to find something else to do today rather than stalk the nest.  Sigh.  It's too hot outside and I'm too sore to go to the gym.  I guess painting doors it is (even though my arm is sore from painting).

  • PAINTING?!?!? make sure you are in a well ventilated area and it is a low odor paint.

Need to make sure you and the baby stay safe.

Oh yeah, I didn't even think of anyone thinking of that!  I googled and found this, http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/paintexposure.html , before I even had the courage to ask my Dr about the safety.  I'm just painting doors in a room with the window open and the fan on and am using safe paint and only for about 15 minutes per door with a break in between each one.  It's amazing what a difference doors make to a home.  We had flat cheapies and we got molded cheapies but they make our house feel like a mansion now.  I will be blogging about it:)  But thank you for thinking of our safety. I do allll the time.  I never realized what a worry wart I am until I became responsible for someone else!

How are you doing?  When I had cramping last week I thought of you and your gallstones.  How are you feeling?  I'm wondering if I may be having a problem with them but my Dr said the pain is usually worse than I describe (it feels like a running cramp) but it is right in that area, upper right, and worse after I eat.  I am going to see a massage therapist for my back and she said to mention it to the massage since it feels more muscular to me, and then from there we will check my liver if I continue to get the cramp.  How bad was/is your pain?

  • I asked my OB if it was okay for me to paint since I was helping with the nursery and painting the dresser.  He is super laid back and said as long as I'm not huffing anything, he's fine with it!  I did wait til I was about 20 weeks though.  Definitely make sure you're in a ventilated area and be careful in this humidity.

Lauren...we are thisclose now!  Are you doing newborn pics with Jason?

Cool beans! My Dr is OK with me doing small jobs like doors or a small room with ventilation also, but not bigger things, definately not painting a car.  I had an appt today.  No sonogram but got to hear the heartbeat, it's a nice strong 140, and baby is moving all over.  Fun :)

  • Sara... my pain was so bad I couldn't breathe. It started as heartburn , but lower then as the night progressed it got worse it was like an asthma attack in the front and then sharp shooting pains inbetween my shoulder blades at the same time. Leaning back made it worse. Sitting up as straight as possible was the only thing that made it remotely better. I still have mini flare ups but nothing as bad as it was on Memorial day.

Lauren... Of course I am doing newborn photos with Jason... I'm even looking into the 1st year package they offer. I bought a few cute props, that I will likely donate to them after our session. I am feeling great, my hips and lower back are hurting more and more as we go, but walking has really helped. Last night H and I did just shy of  a mile and a half and tonight we did 7/10ths of a mile.

Ps. Depending on when our little men make their debut maybe we can arrange our photo sessions one after another (if you are scheduling one with Jason) and have an outing afterward- it would be great to meet you.

  • I was actually thinking the same thing!  We haven't for sure decided to do them with Jason, only because I don't know if we'll be up to driving over from Orlando right after giving birth.  The photographer who did our mat. pics is SO much more expensive though so we probably will.

If we go into labor the same time I might lose it!
