Great restaurant's in San Francisco
I'm going to San Francisco for a day with the girls (12 and 8yrs old) in the city. I am looking for a recommend for a GREAT restaurant (and I am not talking chicken strips for lunch.) Tonga Room is only open for dinner and that was our first choice. Any recs?
::Thanks::
Re: Great restaurant's in San Francisco
I agree with PP that you need to give a little more detail. The Tonga Room would not fall on my list of great restaurants at all. Are you looking for something super fancy? In that area there are the following: Sons and Daughters, Cotogna, The Big Four, Fleur d'Lys (Michelin Star) and The Dining Room at the Ritz Carlton ( Michelin Star).
If you want good food that the kids will like, I would suggest Perrys. There is on the Embarcadero and one on Union Street. It was my favorite as a kid. You might also want to try Gott's Roadside at the Ferry Building-amazing gourmet burgers which are more kid friendly. Tony's Pizza in North Beach is amazing and there are gelato places nearby.
