I would appreciate it very much if anyone can look over my cover letter. I posted it before. Here is a bit of background. I have been and currently am in the legal field working as a paralegal. I am looking for either a paralegal, medical secretary or any type of secretary job. I am currently taking classes as a pre-nursing major and applying to nursing school this fall. This would be my cover letter for a cross over from legal to non-legal. My CL for the legal field seems to be okay as it gets a lot of responses.
Thank you so much!
This is my cover letter:
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing in reference to the position of Administrative Assistant. I am confident that the combination of my experience and education will be an excellent match for this position.
I have approximately seven years of experience in the administrative field, including three years of experience as a secretary. My current position with the XXXX requires the ability to operate in a fast-paced and detail oriented environment. In my prior position as a paralegal, much of my daily responsibilities were administrative in the areas of client relations, coordinating workflow activities, processing correspondence and legal documents and scheduling meetings and court appearances. I am currently taking classes as a pre-nursing major at XXXX College. These classes have provided me with insight into medical field as well as knowledge of medical terminology.
If you feel there is a mutual interest, I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to learn more about the requirements of the position and how my qualifications would be a good fit.
