I had a book club meeting last night at a friend's house and Chad/Ciara/Belle (the dog in case you didn't know that) met me at the friend's house.. Chad and my friend's husband decided to go to another friend's house and I decided to go ahead and go home since we had two cars.. I asked my friend to help me bring the stuff in my car as I was carrying Ciara and when she was putting stuff in the car, I asked her to turn the AC on since you know how hot it gets in Phoenix
.. Well, apparently Belle pressed the lock button on my car and locked herself and Ciara in the car.. I was freaking out just because they both were in the car but thank god the AC was on!!!! i was a mess but 911 was contacted.. the police came and did nothing including not comforting me.. i was a mess and then the fire dept came and ciara was having a meltdown by then as she didnt understand why she was in the car and wanted to be out.. the fire dept got both of them out quickly.. when i thanked the firemen, one of the hot fireman hugged me ha!
lesson learned - open the windows a bit if im not in the car
Re: one of the most scariest moments...
How scary. This happened to me the other day at Target. I had let Greta hold on to my keys while I tried to wrangle her in her carseat. I went to shut the car door and put the car back and I heard a click and she still had the car keys and had locked the door with the wireless remote. Fortunately, the police were very helpful and she was out within 15 minutes and it was a cooler day. It's a very helpless and scary situation. Glad everyone got out safely.

I would have been freaking out as well! I am so paranoid that this is going to happen when I am alone with Carly. We don't have an extra set of keys for my car, which doesn't help!
That stinks that the cops weren't very helpful, but I am so glad it all turned out okay!
