Cleaning cabinets? What to use/how often?

I've heard that the best way to clean cabinets is either a vinegar/water solution or soap and water.

How often do you clean yours?

  • I do dishsoap and water.

I wash when I think they need it. A few times per year? It's not something I do with any regularity. When I notice they're a little grimy I swipe a pledge wipe over them.

Thanks, dairy!  We were new construction so the cabinets were brand new and I didn't want to ignore them :)  Few times a year sounds RIGHT up my alley HA!

  • If they are really really grimy (I find on top get greasy) I will put a couple drops of Googone in my soap and water mixture and it makes it much easier.  I do it around Christmas time (when I am up on a chair anyways switching out above cabinet decor) and in the summer.
