My mom bought my late great-aunt's sewing machine from her estate sale and is letting me use it to get going on some of my Pinterest-inspired projects. I haven't touched a machine since junior high and I've never sewed a piece of clothing, but I thought I'd give it a whirl.
The machine and I got into a fight last night and we went to bed angry, but we made up this morning and I finished. Perhaps my aunt (who passed away a year ago today) was channeling some of her sewing mojo.

It's definitely not perfect, but I'm pretty proud of myself for my first attempt.

Re: Check me out. PIP.

You should try a tshirt dress, I've had it mulling around inmy brain for quite some time, but havent found a second to try it out: Same way as the skirt, except you sew it on the bottom of a tshirt.
