Catching up!
Hi Girls! I've been lurking periodically and trying to catch up on everything... but things have been crazy and I just haven't been around much. Thought I'd give a quick update...
I got all moved to Nashville at the end of June. The move itself was relatively painless, thanks to my mom coming up to help me finish packing, and thanks to the fact that we decided to use a moving company. Most of our belongings are currently in storage, so hopefully it all made it in one piece!
We're having a blast (note the sarcasm) living with my parents currently... actually, it's not too bad. I still feel like I'm just here for a long visit, but Brett has been super busy with football already. I start work August 4 and am really anxious to get back into a routine. I got to go yesterday and see my school, spend some time with the principal, and pick out my room (I had a few to choose from!) and am planning on going to start getting set up at the end of this week. I got a really good vibe- I think I'm going to like it there.
Househunting has been an adventure, and I won't bore you with the details... but long story short, looks like we are going to build a new home. We put a deposit down yesterday to hold the lot, and we are getting a few more questions answered and trying to negotiate some pricing before hopefully signing a contract on Thursday or Friday. Keep your fingers crossed that this works out for us... we're running out of patience and time! Assuming all goes well, we can hopefully be in the new house by Christmas.
During all of this, we managed to squeeze in a trip to Michigan for my cousin's wedding, a week at the beach, and this weekend I had my high school besties in town for a girls weekend. So it's been busy! I can't believe my summer is almost over already- it has just flown by.
Okay, this has been long enough... I'll try to do a better job of keeping up and posting more!
