I got fitted for running shoes yesterday
DH wanted new shoes yesterday, but they were sold out in his size. We went to WestStride on Northside Pkwy. I usually like Saucony shoes, but I ended up in a pair of Brooks - the new Ghost 4's.

They're very light! I have a pretty excellent gait (I run straight and narrow, almost) I overpronate just a tiny bit to the outside, but no need for a stability shoe.
DH was immediately bugging me to go out on the trail with him.
He lost 4lb of water weight (yes, that means sweat) last night on his run. I had to trail him around the kitchen with a towel.

Re: I got fitted for running shoes yesterday
Those look good. DH just got a pair of Five Fingers even though he knows they are fug. But he really likes the way they make his toes feel and how it feels to run in them.
Note: DH doesn't run so I thought the purchase was a tad ridic. However, I think he is going to start C25K so I might try to start it over as well. But I secretly HATE running.
Adventures of A Girl and Her Apron
DH tried his BFF's 5-fingers. He liked them ok, but they're not something he plans to run in for the long term. BFF's GF wore hers on the Peachtree and had a wicked nasty blister after that. She now must wear toed socks to use them!
I too am shockingly bad at running. I just feel like I'm going to die inside of one minute. Strength, I have. Endurance, notsomuch.

you should tho. Its free. They won't charge you there or @ Big Peach to just jump on the treadmill and get their opinion. DH says it makes a world of difference to be in the right shoes. He was 1st fitted as overpronating and later on it corrected so he's now in a neutral shoe. He runs over 30mi a week. I believe him

You are right, and I probably will eventually. It's just more of a PITA for me because I have to drive into ATL to do it.
