To Much Sex...Is it possible?

My fiance and I have always had a great sex life. For a while we were having sex almost everyday. And it wasn't ever boring sex - both of us were willing to be as creative as the other wanted and we had a lot of fun. In the past year a lot has changed. He joined the military and we have only been in the same place for a total of 60 days in the last year. We also now have a five month old. When we do get to be together we spend every moment possible moment that we aren't spending with our daughter in the bedroom. I am not exactly complaining, but it seems like the true romance and intimacy isn't there. It feels like we are just trying to make up for the time we are apart. Any advice for putting the love back into making love?

  • My H is AD Army.  He spends an average of 20 weeks a year at home.  It's nice to have some "Mommy/Daddy" time, but y'all need to get out of the bedroom.  Have a date night outside the house if you can get a sitter.  Have game night.  Spend some time out on the patio.  Play Madlibs.  Having intimate time with out having sex makes the sex feel more intimate.  Does that make sense?

  • Indeed it is possible to have too much sex.

find things outside the bedroom you can do as a couple: ballroom dancing, biking, walks, a joint hobby, etc.

Try datenights. They all need not end in sex. GL.

  • It makes perfect since and seems so simple. I guess we just get caught up in "making up for lost time". Thanks for the advice.
  • Uh, yes. . . get out. . . play with that child.

    that is all.

  • A relationship has to connect on more levels than just sex. You need to go out on dates and just talk and hang out. Doing this paired with the sex makes it better in my opinion. Some of the best sex we have ever had was after amazing long talks. =]
