Ok, I want to take a group of 4 total to a giants game on a weeknight. I've gone in the past and
1) tried to find my own parking garage and
2) tried caltrain.
I will not take caltrain again after my last experience (sweating with no a/c to the point where we almost passed out and late trains) and it wasnt that cheap for 4 people. I had a hard time finding parking because I just dont know that area very well and traffic sucked.
So, would you just go ahead and pay for their parking lot when you buy the tickets or do you have an alternative lot that is usually available? Their lot is $30, and I think other lots were $20 so I'm not saving much (unless there is a lot thats cheaper and easier that I dont know of).
Suggestions appreciated!
Re: Giants games question
I agree with this. In fact, I would not park at the stadium - getting in and out of there (more out) is a nightmare. We park at one right by the bay bridge then it's about a 5 minute walk. We like it because we have to jump no the bridge to head home and we're right there.
There is a lot under an office building, directly across the street (on 3rd St) from the park that I've used before and always had luck getting a spot. It is $20 (last time I was there) and super convenient. I've even gone to games by myself (meeting people at the park) and have felt safe getting in & out, esp since it is so close. Its actually closer than the lots for the park.
