    Readygo!

Favorite/least favorite part about pregnancy so far? Well, I've loved a lot so far, feeling him move around is pretty unreal and seeing him at our U/S (and I like getting special treatment now that everyone can tell). Least is not being able to drink wine or eat sushi.

Favorite baby (boy & girl) names? I'm loving Bennett Rider, but Matt's not a fan. I also like William and Logan (both family names). Isabel Jeanette and Olivia Marie were my top girl choices. Lilian Jeanette was a close third.

Least favorite boy & girl names? Anything that rhymes with Aiden and anything spelled strangely.

What are you looking forward to about having a son?  I am looking forward to having a mama's boy, someone to help me take in the groceries when he gets older, and not having to teach matt about hair thingys and headbands and tights and leggings... because sometimes he is so clueless about girl stuff.

Did you like HP Deathly Hallows P2? You know, at first, I was disapointed, I didn't have time to really love the moments that I was looking forward to seeing because the scene changes were so abrubt. I also thought it moved a little too fast, and changed a few things that I was really excited about in the book. I'm gonna have to see it again....

Do you have a babymoon or any other type of vacation planned for this year? We don't have anything fancy or big planned, but we have a few small trips to Maryland one in September for my MD baby shower and one in October for our friends wedding (which I am BM in, lord help me).  Matt wants to go to Cleaveland sometime in december, after we get the 'he's ok to come out of the house and not get rubella' from our doctor.

Favorite local, chain and fast food restaurant?  Local: I love La Fogatas and Barefoot Bernies, Chain: Panera,  Red Robin and Cheesecake Factory. Fast Food: wendy's has been pretty on top of things lately. And Five Guys, whereever that falls.

Favorite/least favorite physical quality? In myself? My eyes. And I'm pretty proud of my hair since it's never been colored or tortured, it's pretty healthy. Least would be my arms since I always feel like they look chubby no matter what I do...

1 trait that you hope that the baby will inherit from you and 1 trait that you hope the baby will inherit from your husband. I hope my baby gets my patience and tolerance of people, and I hope he gets Matt's solid family values and for goodness sakes his spelling habbits because mine are horrible.

    Good questions :)

    Favorite beach access? :)

Oooh.. lately I've been going to Luke Street in Kitty Hawk, there's hardly any parking so it's always empty. Coquina is great too, but since it's so far south we make it a 'beach day' type of visit and not just a 'few hours' visit.

Would YOU eat a live octopus for $1,000?

I'm pretty sure I'd want to give it a try (if I wasn't pregnant), but then I would most likely chicken out at the last minute... dead octopus for sure, but live, I'd be nervous.

Describe your perfect fantasy day. Oh wow, well it depends on my mood, but I'm gonna say wake up and have a good run and a small healthy breakfast, shopping with a latte and a great lunch, performing a musical for a huge crowd (no biggie right?), and drinks after before sleeping a long time.

What's for lunch? I just made a grilled chicken pesto with red onions and tomatos  (and garlic bread). And last nights peanut butter chip peanut butter cookies... mmm.

Current favorite tv show? Grey's Anatomy, Happy Endings and Psych.

Any nursery ideas yet? I actually just made a mood board the other night and put it on my blog if you wanna check it out. It's kind of nautica themed, light blue, navy and light green with a few sail boats (but not too much that Matt thinks its a theme... lol)

What is your favorite song to sing? Is everything an answer? hah, I really like singing California King Bed by Rihanna because it's in such a comfortable part of my range that I can just wail it out. Anything by Carrie Underwood and Lea Michelle has the same kind of range as me, so her versions of everything are easy for me to sing.

Name a vacation you would like to take with the baby. We're planning on showing him off to the family in MD and OH come the holidays. Later I'd love to go to Europe and you gadda take 'em to Disney at some point.

Name a vacation you would like to take with just DH someday. I'd love to drink/eat my way through Italy, but we have been talking about going back to Hollywood next year for our anniversary.

  • How many kids do you want?

How many kids do you want? Two would be ideal, but we'll see how this one goes :)

Would you ever skydive? I would like to say I would, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't.

What 3 possessions could you not live without? This is really hard, I feel like if I really had to, I could live without mostly everything, I wouldn't be able to live without things like Matt, my voice, my new lovely growing baby. I have memories with posessions, but the memories are what's important. But thinking about this further is making me sad, so I'll stop burning my house down in my mind to see what I would run for first (because my cats are also on the list before inannimate objects).

What is your favorite girl scout cookie? Thin Mints *_*

What is your favorite movie? That's really hard, because I had a very long love affair with the Lord of the Rings in high school, but I also love a good classic chick flick like 10 Things I Hate About You and How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.

Do you have any fears about being a mom? I am seriously nervous about PPD and PPSychosis. My mom's side of the family has serious depression in it's history and I'm scared that I'll chemically be unable to love my baby the way I want to. (like those ladies who drown their babies, I always wonder if they were crazy before or if it just happened or if it was PPD). I'm also less seriously nervous about how Matt and I will work on so little sleep, but I know we'll work through it.

    ETA; woops i missed one!

I had that fear also.  I have bad anxiety and my mom was seriously depressed for the first half of my life.  My doctor actually kept me on a low dose of my anxiety medicine (they are okay for pregnancy) for that very reason.  She said with the history of depression in my family, it puts me at higher risk.  I didn't end up having it and I don't think it was because of my medication.  I was on 125 mg less than what I usually need, so I am sure I would have noticed something going on.

That was my fear too and in fact it scared me so much I was in denial that I had PPD.  My advice to you is to keep an open mind and don't be set in your ways.  PPD is treatable but suffering with it to avoid the label is a waste of life.  Prozac REALLY helped me conquer PPD and now I feel like it never even happened.

I'm glad to know it's not just me. I will keep my eye out for it.
