Which purse should I get? (PIP of my current fave purse)

I am carrying around my favorite Etienne Aigner black purse this summer. I totally adore it and I'm pretty sure nobody I know judges me for having a winter purse in the summer... but I would like to invest in (maybe up to $100?) a nice summer purse.  My birthday is coming up.

I think maybe these are similar to my black purse.  What color looks summer-y in these styles?

Here's my purse that I love (I'm not saying it's the most stylish in the world, but it's really, really functional):

Other suggestions welcome!  Doesn't have to be Etienne Aigner.  I just got that one because it was on a super sale at Filene's.

Re: Which purse should I get? (PIP of my current fave purse)

  • I like the two you posted but I would be concerned that they are too small.  Tote type purses really do hold a lot more.
  • I like the first one better but I agree with the pp that it isn't as big as what you are currently carrying. Not sure if that is an issue.

Not sure if you have time, but I've gotten a few purses at the Coach outlet in Leesburg that I've really liked.

  • I personally wouldn't be able to fit anything in that purse.  My wallet, and phones (work cell and personal cell) would take up the entire thing.

Personally I would try going to the coach outlett in Leesburg - you can find a nice summery tote style purse for maybe $150.

  • Good call on the size!  I didn't even really pay attention to the dimensions.  Great points.

  • The "ecru" color looks light and summery, but I agree - a bit small. I second (or third) the Coach outlet...they often hand out 30% off coupons at the door and you end up saving quite a bit of money on a fun summer purse!
