OMG - found my old hair stylist!

Back about 10-12 years ago, I got my hair cut at the old Bethesda Hugo Salon by Roger and loved him. I always had awesome hair cuts and color (and went into debt for it, but oh well, those days are over). Roger left Hugo around the time they closed the Bethesda salon and I got a postcard from him saying where he went and I lost it. So for the last 6 or so years I have been floundering.

So today I got a WTD email for 50% off a haircut and highlights in Bethesda and I looked at it, and who did I see at the bottom of the email? ROGER! He works there! I have found him again! I am so excited.

  • woot! if i could get in touch with my stylist that i loved in queens, i would absolutely still go to her when visiting friends in nyc. she just knew how to cut my hair perfectly. i lost track of her for similar reasons to you and i've missed her ever since! i would be so excited if i were you too!

  • That's awesome! What a random find!
  • I totally feel your excitement.  I miss my old stylist Terry.  He left the one salon and my appt's were so few and far between that I missed him telling people where he was going and the salon staff said they didn't know(probably BS) Crying
  • Awesome!

When I first moved here I went to Mac at Hugo, but he left and I don't know where he is... and the salon wasn't sure where he went eitherCrying

There's one guy I randomly went to in Michigan once... he was probably the best haircut ever.  boo-hoo.  :(  He left that salon right after I got my haircut, and his assistant called me and told me the name of his new salon - unfortunately, I lost it!  Probably for the better, since I can't really go to MI for a haircut.

Another one of my "best haircuts of all-time" was at Hugo... That guy was just a friend of Hugo's who was working there temporarily or something like that.  ugh.

Samantha at Hugo's is also good - she has done one of my best color-jobs ever.  But, sadly, they've been too $$$ to fit in my budget lately.

I think I'm pretty satisfied with Justin at Ritz Hair Gallery, for now.  I'm on my 3rd haircut there - not only is it super convenient and not too expensive, the haircuts I"ve gotten have grown out great.  And, they've been tolerant of my toddler running around (since all of the haircuts have pretty much been walk-in, on a whim after work while waiting for DH to get home...)  Oh, and he complimented me on my drugstore dye job technique, instead of lecturing me.  LOL.  He said most people dye unevenly, but I did a good job of getting it even.

Would love to get the info for Roger, too... just so I have it in my arsenal. Could you send it to me?
