Re: Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful for family to be visiting this weekend. Some of them haven't seen our house yet.
I'm thankful that we'll be getting our new bed this weekend.
I'm thankful that DH got approved to work some OT. We could really use the extra money!
I'm thankful that our pup has been behaving very well lately. She was great during her bath last night!

I'm thankful its Thursday. This week has been dragging on forever and tomorrow is payday, wahoo!
I'm thankful that I have an extremely flexible job and I work great hours and have lots of leave - so I could take yesterday afternoon off to go to the Os game, yay!
I'm thankful for coffee. I love coffee.
Can I be thankful for air conditioning?
I'm also thankful for lots of people being on vacation, hence my relatively easy commute into work.
I'm thankful DH and I both have a good and secure jobs (well as much as that's ever possible). My mom's co-worker's daughter just had a preemie baby and her and her DH were stretched pretty thin financially to begin with, but now w/ a preemie and all the attendant expenses, they are really, really stretched. My mom is coming over to borrow a bunch of gear from me to loan to them. I can't imagine how difficult and stressful it would be to have a preemie and then have financial issues on top of that. My heart goes out to them.
I am thankful that my boss let me work from home yesterday and the toilet replacement was super expensive. I'm glad that we we able to eat, pack lunches, make bottles, clean up and be done by 6:30PM. We actually went out last night instead of just getting ready for bed. I am thankful that I have the cutest baby ever. ha! I am thankful that it is already Thursday.
ETA - The toilet replacement was NOT super expensive
I'm thankful for air conditioning.
I'm thankful to DH for chopping up some produce last night, switching over laundry when I went to bed because I mentioned that I forgot to do it, and for taking care of the cat boxes on Tuesday so that I didn't have to.
I'm thankful for my daughter's imagination. I watched her in her playroom last night, dressed up in her princess finest, lying on the floor, pretending to be Princess Aurora. And then 5 minutes later she was Maleficent, urging Aurora to "touch the spindle! TOUCH IT I SAY!" She was cracking me up.
I'm thankful for a Mom who loves me as much as I love her. I posted on FB that I was bummed that she was traveling to Las Vegas without me and that it wasn't right since we're traveling buddies. She chimed in that she'd been thinking the same thing, and later when we spoke on the phone she said "I'll buy you a plane ticket! Come with me!" She knew I couldn't, but I also know she really wishes I could.
I'm thankful for Facebook's blocking feature. Yesterday my aunt posted a quote from Rep. West (FL) saying that Obama supporters are a threat to the gene pool and offered up her whole-hearted support of West's statement. The urge to say "Gee, thanks Aunt J. That's me and my kid you're talking about." was strong, but I just engaged the block feature instead... and wondered why I'd unblocked her in the first place.
Oh, and I'm thankful we're nearing the end of the week. This has been SUCH a rough one and I'm just ready to say good riddance to it.
I am thankful that I work indoors and have AC. Also thankful that I got my car AC fixed last month; it would be brutal right now without it.
I am thankful for popsicles. I eat one every day.
a baby girl who consistently sleeps for 7-8 hours a night
a/c
a son who can entertain himself when need be
a good friend with a swimming pool
miscarriage on 11/26/09 at 5w6d
AC that works and that our house is done being painted so we can park our cars under the carport and keep them in the shade during this heat wave!
It makes such a huge difference parking the black wagon in the shade vs. having it out in the sun.
I'm thankful for advil when I have the.worst.cramps in the world.
I'm thankful for AC that works when it feels like 100 outside.
I'm thankful for a job that allows me to have off during the summer so that I can enjoy some time with family and friends.
Safety for my family. There was just a really bad accident near my home and it really just makes me thankful for everyday safety as we travel on our roads. I saw an accident (directly in front of me) last week, had I not been "late", it could have been me.
I am thankful for my cute emerald green dress today, it's helping to keep me cool.
I am thankful for class tonight. We had not planned on going in the summer but I can't get Keefer enough exercise in this heat so we are planning on going to class tonight.
I am thankful for some friends who have offered their help with job search. I really appreciate the kindness of others as I am definitely stressed.
I am thankful for lunch with my friend. It's going to be difficult leaving here but I know that we will stay in touch.
I'm thankful for my three day weekend that starts tomorrow at 6pm.
I'm also thankful for air conditioning and the fact I can wear shorts to work.
