I live in Troy and am looking for beginning yoga classes in the area. Any suggestions?

Re: Where do you take yoga?
Do you have a gym membership anywhere? I work in Troy and have an LA Fitness membership so I can use the LA Fitness in Troy. I've had good luck with the yoga and pilates at LA Fitness in Troy and Livonia. Though it's been awhile since I've gone to the classes in Troy, so I'm not sure who's teaching them anymore.
ETA: I'm pretty sure the Troy Rec Center does yoga classes too, you could probably get a pretty good class rate for being a resident if you didn't want a gym membership. There's also a yoga studio in Royal Oak I've heard good things about, but I don't remember the name.
I don't have a gym membership. The Troy Community Center does do yoga, that was my orginal plan, however the last session started in June and goes through Mid-Aug. I have no idea when the next session will start (probably around the same time the current one ends, I would think) and I was hoping to start sooner then that.
I'm going to be trying some drop in sessions at Red Lotus in Rochester Hills next month with a friend, I can let you know how it goes.
I've done the Troy Community Center classes before- Janeen is the only instructor that is worth paying money for. Marie and the other old bag are horrible, their speaking voices were anything but relaxing. Plus square dancing was always across the hall and it was such an interference with the serene vibe you're supposed to have when doing yoga.
I know they just opened up a Brikram Yoga studio at Big Beaver & Livernois by CJ Mahoneys but I'm not a fan of working out in super warm temps so I haven't been there yet.
Yes, please do let me know how you like Red Lotus and thanks for the info on the community center, I will definately keep that in mind before joining the next session.
