Help me get out more - I need a babysitter in Greatwood
We don't have family in town that are willing to babysit. My parents are 68 and 73 and I can tell they aren't comfortable watching Evan by themselves. My SIL and BIL scare me because they know way less than I do about kids and are going to use Evan as a trial run for if/when they have kids. SIL wants to make BIL share the responsibility and they argue about who will feed him, change him, etc. And they put the diaper on backward last time. I am just too Type A to leave DS with them often. It makes me nervous.
Anyway, I have never left him with someone other than daycare and I am nervous about finding a babysitter. But we need to be able to have date nights. Our marriage is fine, but I feel it takes a backseat to the baby, and I don't want that to happen.
Does anyone have a fantastic babysitter in the Sugar Land area that is willing to go out to Greatwood? Or do you have any tips on finding a great babysitter?

Ask at his daycare, a lot of daycare teachers babysit on the side, or the other moms may share a sitter's name with you.
Oh, good idea. I know one of the daycare teachers lives in our neighborhood. I never thought about asking her or if she knows someone. I wonder how expensive she would be.

Ya know, I thought about that, but the only friends that we would probably do that with have twins that are 3 months older than Evan, and I am just not up for watching 3 toddlers. I guess I don't want to get out that badly. :-)
