What's that road to park on again? Blue Angels?

Since I had the lovely reminder during lunch that they are in town, I'm remembering that someone said to park on a street somewhere nearby to watch the show. Anyone remember what road it was??

This weekend will prove to be difficult in getting naps from my 3 year old. We're getting a free 'show' at our house, but I'm sure there are many more tricks we could see somewhere else.

It was pretty freaky to see one fly straight up and seemingly head straight down toward our house! T was afraid he was going to crash into it! haha... then he laughed when he changed paths to straight across the sky. :)  He's going to love this. Wish it wasn't so hot so we could sit outside and watch for longer than a few minutes.

  • I don't remember the road your talking about, but that is so cool you can watch them practice for the show this weekend where you live!

Where my DH grew up, they'd watch them do that too.  We're actually going to Willow Run this weekend to watch part of the show, I wish it wasn;t going to be so hot!

  • It's Ecorse.  Mostly between Canton Center (It might be called Belleville down there) and Denton.  I don't know if we'll make it this year, but DH got all giddy when they flew right over him when he was coming to pick me up for lunch.

    Have fun!

One scared the living daylights out of me when I went to the mailbox at work today!  I swear it came out of nowhere!  :)

Canton Center does turn into Belleville Rd south of Michigan Ave.  Ecorse is a strange looking road.  It's a divided highway with nothing inbetween or on either side of the road.  There are service drives on each side too, so it looks like there's four divided lanes.

  • Also, the Blue Angels is usually the last part of the show so if you're afraid your LO's won't hold out I would go down later so you can see them.
  • Ecorse! That's it. Thanks for the tip on going later.

I hear planes all the time here and some are louder than others. We were eating lunch and I heard one SUPER loud plane and thought, what the heck? then another and decided to go out and look. T followed me and we just stood in awe :)  We're flying next weekend so he's excited, and disappointed we won't be doing tricks on our plane! haha

    That's adorable!

I think DH may have looked up approximate times for when different demonstrations were happening on the web before.  I can't guarantee you'll find anything, but its worth a look.
