Some of you ladies get a kick out of my work stories, so here's another one:
We hired this guy into our organization in several months ago to work do some entry level work. He was a superstar until about 3 weeks ago when he started getting weird. Since then he has:
Gone to the hospital for an ear ache in the middle of his shift without telling anyone and not returned.
Called in sick repeatedly with the silliest of excuses and racked up a nice chunk of attendance write ups.
Left to go to his vehicle to retrieve a doctors note excusing him for his "illnesses" at the beginning of his shift and never returned from said vehicle. Later confessed he didn't have any doctors note.
Threw away an industrial size piece of cookware because he couldn't get it clean enough when he was washing dishes.
Stolen office supplies and been caught on camera.
"Gotten lost" in the building and couldn't be located for over 1/2 his shift even though he's worked here for months.
There were a bunch of other kind of small things but when paired with this are evident he needs to "excel outside our organization". Seems like a nice person, but we have no idea what his issue is.
Well today he came into to resign (must have known his time was up) and he was wearing a muppets t-shirt, which is funny because he's got a voice that sounds just like a muppet.

LoL. Who knows! The muppet shirt is cracking me up.
That's what I was going to say too since she said he was a superstar up until 3 weeks ago.
That or he suddenly hates his job and needs to grow a backbone instead of passively aggressively running around acting out irresponsibly and inexcusably!
I've had jobs where if someone just decided to leave and not come back, that was considered an indirect resignation which in turn meant immediate termination.
I hope this is what's going on!
