If you want another book to read, The Wonder Weeks is another good book. This book helps explain all of the little milestones and why your baby may have started waking 4 times again at night.
Luke seems to hit these milestones/behavior changes on the exact day that the book explains these "wonder weeks".
Re: Moms to be
Thanks! I need to start reading some books to prepare me for when he's actually here. All I've read so far are pregnancy books.
Any other books any of you (or any of you moms) would recommend? Should I get What to Expect the First Year? I keep seeing "Happiest Baby on the Block." Should I watch that?
Definitely get the book or watch Happiest Baby on the Block! Worked wonder for us with James.
The same thing doesn't always (almost never) work on two babies...the thing is to have tons of options in your arsenal to try something different until you find what does. And don't be afraid to start all over again because something that didn't work last week might work this week.
Big fan of the Wonder Weeks book. There's a PDF calendar on their site starting at 40 weeks gestation (the brain continues to mature in utero, so it doesn't matter if they're born late/early) and it is so dead on it's scary. Most people think fussy baby = teething, but most of the time it isn't--it's a developmental phase.
I'd say watch the Happiest Baby to start. By the time we read/watched he was already 2 months old and those tricks didn't work well for him.
So Wonder Weeks is based on their due date, not their actual date of birth?
That sounds so interesting! I'll look into it while I'm waaaaiting...
I loved the happiest baby on the block - worked WONDERS with Braden!
I'm going to pick up that other one, it sounds really interesting. Thanks for the recommendation!
