FML

I turned the water on last night to water the grass about 8:30 and intended to move it after about 1/2 hour so I could do the front. Um, yeah. Left it on ALL.NIGHT.LONG! 12 hours later it was shut off. I don't even want to see the bill for this month. FML.

Has anyone done this or something similar and noticed a major difference in the bill? I'm kindof hoping that it's not a major shocker since DH hasn't been home for a month (all of his showers), i've only been running the dishwasher about once every 3-4 days, and we've been gone a lot on the weekends. Maybe the bill will seem like an average month's use, I hope.

Now I have to wait for the puddle in my yard to go away so I can mow, which i was planning on doing today. ::sigh::

Re: FML

  • We've done that before, and we'd been filling the kiddie pool a lot then, and I don't remember it being more than $10 extra.
  • I've been running our sprinkler a lot lately...I was wondering this too.

  • I think you will be surprised how little it will cost.  Water is cheap in Nebraska.
