i love scrapbooking but it can get expensive..
did you make your own baby book or buy one from a store? if so where did you get the baby book?

Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
Re: baby book
I never did a traditional baby book for George. Instead, I've taken his monthly letters (on my blog), including all of his milestones, and combined them with his monthly pics and favorite photos from each month and made quarterly Shutterfly books for his first year. A little different approach but, I love how they've turned out and that they are in a bound, hardcover format. If you keep an eye out, Groupon often has daily deals for 8x8" photo books for $8-10 (normally $30 and up).
I am also a scrabooker and will also eventually do traditional pages with his monthly portraits from the first year and the letters. I have them printed and just need to get them all assembled.
Canon 50D, Canon 50mm f/1.4, Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, Speedlite 430EX II
i suck at this.
we have a beautiful baby book for Ava that was a gift from a boutique that went out of business last year. i've started filling it in, but totally slacked, and it was misplaced when we moved 2 years ago and i unearthed it cleaning out the guest room to make Samantha's nursery.
i saw a baby book at the hallmark store that i liked. i was waiting for a coupon or something. she'll be 9 mos next week and i think i should buy it this weekend - lol!
i keep a lot of info for both in a folder so i don't lose it, and in emails and such...i will get there one day. i hope it's before i forget everything!
I bought one that looks more like a notebook b/c you can add pages. However, now that I have it, I don't like it. I think there is alot that is wasted and stuff that is not in there...but I also loved the cover (dumb). When I was pregnant, I received "the belly book", if i had know there was "the baby book" i would have bought that b/c i loved the belly one.
I love Jen's ideas. I wish I was better at all of that.
I got Jack's at Barnes and Noble, I have actually been very good about filling it out. I took it to hospital and they put his foot prints in it too:)
I remembered to have someone get me a newspaper from that day so headlines and weather are in there. I am a scrap booker also but this was just easier for me. I sit down every now and then to update using my blog as a helper.
I have to find one I like for Charlotte now. I also did 2 pregnancy books, weekly planners, so they have them also.
I made a shutterfly book for Jack's shower and hospital stay of all his visitors and first 5 days plus the weekly belly shots and his bedroom and maternity pics (which I am not doing this time since other than the book I never hung them up)
Add on:
I LOVE the picture boxes from Michael's I got 1 and decorated it for his first year- like time capsule) inside are:
ALL cards from Shower, Holidays (his 1st ones), helium balloons (cut bottom and folded), invites for baptism, birth announcements and copy of thank yous we used for Baptism, shower, and new baby gifts), extra copies of newspaper announcements
I made ANOTHER first birthday box: with invite, thank you, balloon, a few decorations, cards, the 1st birthday bibs, tshirt
I will do this for Charlotte because it was the easiest thing and puts everything in 1 space.
I did a traditional baby book (don't remember where I got it) plus I scrapbooked his first year. The scrapbook took me about a 16 months (I kept up with it) and I'm so happy I did it. Ironically it's the traditional baby book that I'm behind in. I chucked stuff inside of it and wrote some things down but I need to go through it and properly fill the rest in and paste in the pictures in (only 3 years late LOL)
After his first year I've made shutterfly books for each of the following years and it's the best thing ever. So easy.
