This week seemed to last forever! What do you have going on this weekend?
Re: TGIF
Hoping to finally sleep in or get more than 6 hours of sleep. I've had migraines for the past 10 days and have slept like crap which only ads to the mirgraines. I'm not one that can function without decent sleep so this is the big thing on the agenda this weekend!
Also H has been researching canning and borrowed a bunch of my mom's canning equipment. I think he might try it out this weekend so that should be interesting to watch. The funny thing is we only have 4 bannana peppers picked from the garden and he wants to pickle them. I have a feeling 4 peppers won't even fill one jar, lol.
I would love to try canning, but we are currently getting about 4-5 cherry tomatoes every other day and nothing from any of our other plants - not that we have many plants. I figure once we get to a bigger house & bigger garden I can start looking into it more seriously.
This weekend we may be going out on a pontoon with a few friends if it doesn't rain. If that falls through, we'll probably try to watch some of the air show. Sunday, my parents are coming over for dinner & so that DH can work w/ my dad on their website stuff. Oh, and we are planning to go to BRU on Sunday to order a dutelier glider (yay!).
We planted eggplant (which just got three blossoms) Jalepenos (still just blossoms) Roma's and Early Girl tomatoes (have some early fruits- can't wait for those to rippen) Our melon and watermelon plants were eaten by deer and groundhogs early on so none of those. Zuchinni is starting to blossom. Bell peppers are starting to come in nicely (they love this unbearable heat). The green beans were mauled twice by animals but are now starting to have blossoms/buds.
This was our first year doing an actual raised garden bed and I planted the tomatoes way too close together (didn't realize how much the spraw when not in a pot on the deck) so the middle of my 8'x4' garden is five big ass tomato plants clumped together.
If you wanted to give canning a whirl there's always the farmers market where you can pick up as much as you want...
As of right now, we have zero plans. :-) I hope it stays that way. I need to clean the house and things like that. I would love to just be home after being gone last weekend.
I could not agree more. I am finally getting a haircut tomorrow (at Red Head Salon thanks to the recs from a previous thread!)
I'm also going to the Pat Benatar concert on Sunday. DH won tickets from work and although he's not all that excited (he'd rather have won the Journey tickets) he's being a good sport and going with me
Tonight - Happy hour with some of DH's former co-workers
Tomorrow - Looking at houses then going to the lake with some friends
Sunday - Laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc.
We only have a wedding on Sat. that I can't wait to go too, I'm very excited for the couple. My parents are coming down to watch the kids, so it'll be a nice time w/just DH.
Other than that just enjoying having DH home Sat. & Sun. & he can get stuff done/play with the kids.
That's right next door to my work!
I have a massage tomorrow afternoon and my friend's 30th bday party in the evening.
Sunday we have church and nothing else. Yay!

How is the house search going Christine?
I didn't realize you worked that close to home! How convenient!
It's wonderful! I could walk to work if I wanted to. I haven't wanted to yet though...

It's going... We found a house last weekend and put in an offer but lost it to a higher bidder so we are back to square one. We will see what this weekend brings though! Thanks for asking!
This week seemed extremely long!
Tonight I need to pack for Indiana and rest, rest, rest!
Tomorrow we make the 5 hour drive to Bloomington, IN for the red eye relay (100 mile foot race). Our first leg starts at 5:30pm and we hope to finish around 6am.
Sunday we will stick around for breakfast and awards then make the drive back home.
I will be extremely tired come Monday!

This week took forever and I'm so glad it's Friday! I can't wait for a semi-low key weekend!
It's our first anniversary.
I'm not sure what we're doing, but DH is a good planner so I'm sure it will be fun! I hope it includes seeing Harry Potter.

Tonight: having friends with their 3 year old over for enchalladas. I will drink myself to sleep hopefully!!
Saturday and Sunday we have no plans that I know of. I am sure I will end up doing some paperwork for work at some point.
