Do you have FB friends you wish you didn't friend?
I have a FB friend who is an old high school friend. I remember really thinking he was a cool guy and having a lot of respect for him in high school. Now he's married with three kids and man, he's like a totally different person. He's so negative and cynical constantly. Anything you post he's got a downer of a response. He doesn't like any book or movie you mention and always finds a way to trash it. I think I would have rather remembered him the way he was.
Got any FB friends like that?

I have a couple of old high school acquaintances that I friended on Facebook recently. But I'm about to de-friend them. They've turned into total losers who appear to hang around with a lot of criminals (and discuss criminal activity and other disgusting behaviors on their status updates). Both have said some pretty hateful, ignorant and things about the police as well. And I just don't care to associate with those kind of people at all.
I was originally friending old high school classmates because I may be helping to plan a class reunion in the next year or two, and wanted to be able to get in touch with people easily regarding it. But, I personally don't care to "reunite" with either of them. And I figure if someone else wants them there, they can reach out to them about it.
I had several. Last month I went through a major purge of my friends list - like 3/4 of them were unfriended.
My criterion was "Does this person contribute anything positive to my life?" If I couldn't find anything, they were gone. I'm kinda sad that 3/4 had to go, but I guess I'm friends with a lot of toxic people.
The sad part is, only 1 person noticed. Next time I'm going to have to block her.
OMG, YES! There are a few random HS people who friended me, I accepted thinking, "Oh, is that the one guy from Biology?" only to find out I have no idea who the person is! lol -And this has happened a couple of times!
But the one regret is a guy I knew for years and years. We went to elementary school together at a small private school for 8 years. We weren't BFFs but in a small class of about 30 kids together for 8 years you feel like you kinda know someone. He was this really quiet, nerdy (coke bottle glasses, poor guy) guy. We went to different high schools for a year then he transferred to my HS completely transformed. Apparently, hiding under the coke bottle glasses was a super hot guy! And I guess when you're super hot like that what was once a shy nerd gets seen as a cool, quirky, brooding guy. So he became pretty popular. Anyhoo, cut to years later I see him on FB (along w/several other people from the same elementary school) and friend him.
Turns out he became pretty religious after high school. No, make that super religious. Okay, no problem there... Til one day I post some silly little thing about my grumpy kid. Something like, "I wish whatever demon has possessed my kid will please leave us alone! I want my sweet little boy back!" You read that and what do you think? Probably, "Aw, sounds like her kid is pretty grumpy tonight!" Or maybe, "Geez, quit your bitchin', Lady! A grouchy kid ain't the worst thing in the world." You know, something pretty normal like that. What is his reply? More like, "Real demon possession is no joke. My friend Benny Hinn does exorcisms and can help you and your child if this continues to be a problem! Save his soul!"

OMG!
I didn't defriend the guy (and still haven't. I really should) b/c I was a little afraid of how he'd react. Would he be like, "She defriended me so that's an obvious sign that she's been possessed too! I must find her and save her and her family!" I just blocked him from... well, pretty much everything. It freaked me out for a little bit there but now (a couple of years later) I think it's pretty funny.
Wtf???!!!
