We got orders to move to TX March 26. The embassy in Egypt packed and shipped our stuff April 28. The RDD was July 13. It didn't arrive. New RDD was yesterday. There is still no sign of our stuff. JPPSO can't even give me a new estimate now. I'm so over this.
Re: JPPSO fails.
That's some shiit!
In the meantime treat yourself to this
I would be beyond annoyed.
Are overseas PCS moves treated the same as regular ones in regards to delivery dates? When we did our PCS here our stuff got here 2 days later than the last possible delivery date, so we were sent a check for $150, $75 for each day late. It really wasn't worth the hassle and aggravation of having to wait even longer for our stuff, but at least we got something for the inconvenience.
I don't know. The A1C I spoke to this morning said that I could file an "inconvenience claim" with the carrier. I'm not sure what that would get me though.
What bugs me most is that this wasn't even supposed to be a summer PCS. We got orders in March. If the embassy had had its shiz together in the beginning and hadn't taken six weeks to get around to even packing up our apartment, we could have bypassed the summer PCS season all together and not had to deal with this.
The JPPSO office is 200 miles away. I went to TMO last week and they told me to call JPPSO.
