XP: Woken up abruptly again this morning
Yesterday, it was a woman buzzing the wrong apartment before 7 am.
Today,
it was a phone call from ConEd telling me that we are "experiencing a
low voltage condition in your neighborhood. You may be experiencing
flickering or dim lights. ...Energy intensive equipment such as
televisions, computers, microwaves and air conditioners may not be
performing satisfactorily"
Um, is this the same company that led to a week-long blackout almost exactly 5 years ago that nearly ruined my wedding preparations? Why yes, it is.
Grrrrr.
Re: XP: Woken up abruptly again this morning
Aww, sorry to hear that. I would FREAK out on both of those people though if they woke me up. Did you let Con Ed have it?!LOL
Funny thing about the buzzer -that would happen to us (at our old apartment) here in Bay Ridge ALL the time . The old apartment was smack middle of a whole bunch of bars, so most time it would be stupid drunk people buzzing at 2,3am..that kind of thing. The husband got tired of flipping out on drunks (there's no point to that) so he DISCONNECTED IT.
Worked great, we never got woken up anymore in the middle of the night, however..when people came to visit - they had to call us, and we had to go down 3 flights of stairs because we couldnt buzz them in anymore. LMAO!!
