Anyone do this? I am concerned the combination of losing weight and introducing solids soon will cause my supply to plummet. I really need to lose weight though. This is just ridiculous. I can't stand to look at myself anymore. Anyone have any words of advice or stories of what you did? TIA!
I know WW has a BFing mom program, but is it enough calories?
Re: WW and BFing
Well, I had supply issues from day one. I would have to pump a min. of 10 times a day to meet Macy's demand. It sucked hardcore. Maybe that's why I only lasted 5 months and 3 weeks?!
Anyway, I did WW early on in my BF and my supply tanked. I did drop some weight as I got to two lbs from my prepregnancy weight (right now I am about 10 lbs......boooooo).
If I get the chance to BF again my plan is once I decide I want to be done with BF once and for all I am going to continue BF (or pumping) for about a month longer, not caring about my supply and diet just to give myself a jump start with the weight loss.
I would give WW a try. I have heard from many people that there supply remains the same while on the plan.
If you need a work out accountability partner let me know. I am on day 2 of my work out plan and I'm miserable!! Umm, I am so outta shape. I really need to drop the weight!! But fvck, it's so hard to do. I am not 23 anymore
Baby Macy is here!

You're covered. You get a whole bunch of extra points for BFing, so it's probably a nice easy way to ease yourself into the program.
FWIW, I didn't have any problem with supply when we introduced solids, and as Nicole said, there are options if you think you're having a decrease in supply.
It's worth mentioning that as Lily got older, I was always stressing that my supply wasn't enough because I compared her bottles at daycare to the babies with formula bottles. Lily had like 4-6 oz in hers, whereas the formula bottles were more like 8 ounces. And I stressed because I wasn't pumping enough milk for 8 oz bottles, but she never finished that much anyway. Turns out that it's an apples and oranges situation, and 8 ounces of milk is not the same as 8 ounces of formula. Eventually I figured that out.
Oh, and as for WW, where in town are you? I really like my meeting group and leader.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
I can't believe you made it that long with pumping so much. I think I would've given up much sooner because pumping SUCKS. You should be proud of yourself for making it as long as you did!
I could definitely use an accoutability partner for workouts. I need to get my big butt in gear. I am going to dust off my workout DVDs. I was actually excercising at least 4 times a week before Zoe came along!
Thanks, K8! I feel a lot better now. I need to get on this weight loss thing! I'm in south Tampa and there is a WW center around Neptune and Dale Mabry I used to go to.
Thanks for sharing! It's amazing how certain foods are bad for us and we don't even realize it!
