Another crazy cat lady post

I will be going on vacation for a week at the end of the summer, this will be my first vacation since having cats ... is it ok to leave the kitties at home all week as long as someone comes in to check up them and freshen food and water everyday?

Re: Another crazy cat lady post

  • They should be fine if they have each other for  company and if you have someone come by to check on them daily. When we go away, my neighbor comes over and she gives them fresh food and water and scoops their litter every day. My cats are fine with this, but they do act a little put off when we get home. They have an attitude for a few hours.

  • They should be fine with someone checking daily and scooping the litter box, feeding, giving fresh water. We have my cousins come by daily when we go away and the cats are always fine.
  • well they wont be keeping each other company because they want to claw each others eyes out, so one runs the upstairs and one runs the (finished) basement.  ok so a week with daily check ins should be ok, thanks ladies
