Hi ladies! So I went to the doctors today for my weekly appointment. Well the past 3 appointments my blood pressure has been high. My mom had pre eclampsia two times with her pregnancies so they have been keeping on eye on this since it puts me at a higher risk. Well I went in today and it was high again so I have been put on bed rest until the baby comes. At least now I get more time to post on our board

So I wanted to see if you ladies had any suggestions of things I can do while laying on my couch or bed to keep me from going crazy lol. Thanks!
Re: bed rest.....
So close! Did they discuss induction? I was finally induced for BP/ signs of pre-e at 39 weeks.
I would shop online while on bedrest which is no good.
She didnt say anything about an induction but is sending me for an ultrasound next week. Im wondering if the ultrasound is because they may have to induce? Im not sure though.
Ohhh, shopping! Now I like that idea hehe!
do you have a netflix subscription? it's time to watch a bunch of series you've never seen!
navy- I havent had that yet, I bet youre right!
That makes sense. That is so exciting that youre so close!!
Im so excited for you!
Melanie- Thats a fantastic idea! I like it!
Any suggestions?
Take it easy!
Read... trash tv....
i don't know which are netflix and which we record and which we download online...but i like these series:
dexter (although this past season is a little ridiculous, i liked the earlier ones)
united states of tara
melissa and joe - talk about crap family tv....it's a brain suck but i watched the entire first season in a few days at the beginning of my maternity leave.
weeds - same as dexter - liked the earlier seasons better than the last one
greek - this was a very cute series on i think the family channel
glee - i saw season 1 on netflix. i need to catch up now.
or check out this list and pick a few classics! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFI's_100_Years…100_Movies
i'd like to see these:
arrested development
friday night lights
I would read lots of gossip columns and watch lots of tv and sleep as much as you can!
By the way Jen...you are at the exact day when I had Kevin...36weeks 3 days...you are getting so close!!!
Relax and try to take it easy!!
And, fwiw, both my kids came at 36 weeks and were healthy little babies!
Lay there and obsess. That's what I would've done. Thank God I wasn't on bedrest but I quit working at 32 weeks so spent 8 weeks at home.
If you like games, buy a Nintendo DS (under $100 now) and get some cheap games (some of them are a REAL time suck). Crossword puzzles.
Have you figured out what you want to do for a birth announcement yet? If not, look into those. Same for her Christening if applicable.
