What's your favorite "hide the veggies" cookbook?

DH turns his nose up at most veggies (he'll eat the basic 3 canned ones - peas, corn, beans as well as carrots) and DS is starting to as well. Time to start hiding them in food. I think my best bet would be to puree them and put them in pasta/pizza sauce or mince them into rice dishes. Does anyone have a favorite cookbook for such things or have you seen a magazine currently on the stands you think might fit the bill?

I don't like to work with anything too obscure, while I'm nowhere near as picky as DH I'd rather stick to stuff that's easy to find. My favorites among the things he won't touch are broccoli, cauliflower, onions, bell peppers and zucchini.

  • Oh yes! It's called Double Delicious. It does a lot of cauliflower and carrot purees in addition to others in normal everyday foods that people actually eat. Nothing too fancy. Just basic food. She also has treats in there too. I will lend my cookbook to you if you don't mind giving it back. It's one of my go-to books because we like so many of the recipes.

Thanks for the offer. I went ahead and requested a copy from the library, and since there's one in I'll be able to get it tomorrow. Easier for me to remember to return something if I get an email reminding me ;)
  • Doesn't Jessica Sinfield have a book? or is that the one you're talking about?

Yeah, this is one of hers, I think she has two out now.
