  • Good One Susie!  Fun!

Since moving back to Iowa 3 years ago and starting to work for myself, I have built my business here from nothing to something pretty amazing.  Year after year I have been building and growing and I am doing the best I ever have in 15 years and now it's on my terms. Yay Me!

And Yay to all of you for your fantastic feats too!  Have a great weekend!!

  • BabyRN, that's terrific!  You are really on a roll!

And, Kala, what a huge accomplishment!  I hope we can book a trip through you someday... :)

Yesterday I passed the first test in a series I'm taking for professional certification... It was only one test of many, but it felt good to get this process started - on a successful note.

  • Those are all great!!!  Congrats to all of you!!!!

Mine is piddely, but I am planning/throwing a baby shower for my SIL, and have never done this before.  I have all the invites finally sent, as of this AM!!!

  • Great one Suzie!

YAY Kala and Janelle! AWESOME! Tash, you'll do good, if you need help just email me!

I have been applying for new jobs, I finally heard back from one of them last night, the email said the HR person was going to be calling me, if I didn't hear back Friday to call on Monday or call on Friday. SO I just called and the HR person said I was the first person to call him and I was able to set up a time for an offical phone interview on Monday, :) I'm SOOOOOO Excited! I have a good feeling about this! I would LOVE this job! And I'd be back downtown! OH That'd be heaven!

And H made the list so hopefully he'll get the job he wanted too!

    PLUS! It's not 109*out today :)

  • I've lost 5 pounds since June 26th.  I still have a long way to go, but I feel like I'm off to a good start.

  • We passed our state licensing inspection and are now officially a state licensed daycare!!! I put a lot of work into getting this together. It also helps me get financial aid to go back to school!
  • These are great, good job ladies!

I just met with admissions to get the ball rolling on my Masters degree.  I'm nervous and anxious, but mostly excited :)

In other awesome news, I took off today and Monday... just because.  Double yay!

  • I feel like I've hit my groove w/ the mommy of 2 thing. Like, times are mostly fun now rather than mostly challenging.  Ingrid is sleeping through the night and both girls are sleeping well in general, which helps a lot. They are napping at the same time, and having fun when awake.  I know someday I'll miss the baby days, but for now I am just excited to see what the future holds b/c so far every stage has been better than the one before.

  • Great post idea and WOW we have some pretty great ladies and accomplishments on this board! Congrats to all! :)

I have a couple- I am most proud of how much my kiddos have grown and accomplished this summer and that I have been home to see it happen. Super proud of Ella for getting potty trained and for being able to recognize all her letters and tell me a word that starts with each one! Brody boy is growing so much too and is almost crawling :)

We also refinanced our mortgage last year to a ten year loan which I was nervous about and not sure if we could swing it but its going great and we have a little less than nine years until our house is paid off- yay!

  • I feel like we're kinda getting the hang of this SAH thing, though the heat isn't helping.  No one has had any major meltdowns this week (DS or me).  :)  I was also in on budget for my spending, in a bizarre way, but still made it.

  • *I started working out again 2 days ago.

*I haven't cried yet when leaving for work. I want to because I miss my daughter.

*I'm impressing the people at my new job.

  • These are all awesome!  I don't have any accomplishments like the ones listed.

The only thing I'm currently patting my back on is that I haven't freaked out about the current construction in our house.  Our only bathroom is a total disaster area, two holes in the kitchen ceiling and still about another 2-3 months of work to do.   I get pretty stressed when things aren't "perfect" but I've managed to keep relatively "easy going" with all of this.

I got a job!  Actually, I got three - it was nice to be able to pick the best offer out of a handful.  I started Tuesday!

  • Wow you guys rock!! Congrats to all the great news...

Mine- I recently got a nice chunk of change due to my company closing and instead of spending it on fun stuff, I took the "MM" route and paid off all consumer debt and put a load into savings. It feels amazing being CC debt free. Smile

  • I have two...

First: I've made major progress in my sewing abilities.  I started sewing pillowcase dresses 18 months ago and now I'm pretty damn good at about anything I sew ;-)

Two: I feel like I'm finally getting the hang of SAH and am proud of the mom that I am to G. (Now hopefully in a few weeks/month I can be proud of being a good daycare provider too).

This was a great QOTD! You guys rock!! You should all be very proud of yourselves!
