my breast friend vs boppy
I have a boppy - anyone have the "my breast friend" ? How much of a pain in the asss is it to strap that thing on - is it comfy on your back? I kida like how it looks bigger than a boppy and more flat.

Re: my breast friend vs boppy
I have 2 boppies and love them, one is older so it's smaller then I have a newer one which is bigger. Love the bigger one and still use it for elbow support when nursing lyra on the couch. I had never seen the MBF until just recently.
This may have furthur discouraged me from trying it out
This is just my thought since I didn't BF.
Do BFing moms use a Boppy or MBF throughout BFing or just for the first so many months? I have no idea. I loved my Boppy for everything....Evan napped in it, did tummy time, learned to hold his bottle in it, learned to sit up inside it, etc. I think the Boppy would get used longer....if that's something you want to consider.
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
It looks huge! (Although your man baby may need the extra real estate.
)
I have a similarly sized EZ 2 nurse, and it's a beast. The upside of a boppy is its versatility. You can use it for much more than just feeding. That breast friend (eyeroll) is pretty much a feeding only kind of deal. Hell, I still nap on the boppies!
I still use our Boppy multiple times a day. Love that thing. I usually just nurse in Sam's room in our comfy rocking chair, but even if I nurse downstairs on the couch, I prefer to use the boppy over nothing. My kid is huge! He'll be 11 months old on Monday and he's in 18-24 pajamas (12 month shorts though)...he's SO long. In fact, I was just thinking this morning that I am going to miss it today when I try to nurse Sam at the Country Club where BIL's wedding is...since I'm packing a million other things, the boppy didn't make the cut. IMO, it really does make BF easier.
I agree with K, it is very useful for lots of things. I've used it as a pillow in the car on our roadtrips too
Funny story - at Christmas, I had it on the couch. My brother was here and was laying on the couch. I looked over, and he was using the boppy as a pillow. I informed he what the thing was used for and he shot it across the room so fast. I love freaking him out like that. It's good for him. A little bit of your sister's breastmilk never hurtcha that much.
B stopped liking to nurse with the boppy. Now we use it to help keep him upright when he's gassy, for some of his tummy times, and he likes to nap on it.
But, the MBF looks really obnoxious and hard to get set up, just from what I've seen in the pictures. I loved my boppy to "learn" to nurse, and once he decided he didn't like to nurse with it... it's not wasted like I think the MBF would be.
