  i don't know of anyone but i know what you are talking about.

  Would a kid/teen advertise on there though?  We have adults who babysit (mostly family and a few friends).  I was figuring a girl who likes kids and wants some cash.

  I've seen younger kids on sitter city. I would also try the local rec department. Some of them teach babysitting classes and then they keep a list of all the kids. Once school starts you  could call the guidance department of the school and see if they know of any kids looking for that kind of work.

  def try the high schools in Sept, my mom works in a HS guidance office and lots of parents ask for kid recommendations for sitters.

  I babysat an infant while in college.  I found the family through a poster the mom had posted in the nursing student lounge.  She put an adorable picture of the baby on the post which helped!  I loved that job.

  Navy...there are some older teens on there.

  And the rec is a good suggestion.  I forgot that I took a babysitting class when i was like 12 so that you could get on the list of local kids.  I basically babysat from 12 on.

  Thanks.. I took a course at 12 through Putnam Hospital and started babysitting from then on too.  Figured now I would give some young girl a job:)
