I looked all through this board but didn't see anything that quite fit my situation, so here goes:
I have tried birth control pills before and they made me feel AWFUL--I couldn't even walk into a restaurant because of the nausea! The last one I tried was Loestrin 24 Fe, and while I didn't have any nausea, my boobs were unbelievably tender. Couldn't even put my bra on without wincing.
This makes me think I either need VERY low dose methods(patch? Ring?) or nonhormal, period. I've been looking into IUDs because I'm terrible at remembering the Pill.
Anyone been in this situation before? Which method worked best for you? Any experiences with Mirena or Paragard are also appreciated
TIA!

I was originally on the Nuva Ring, and it was a million times worse then the ultra low dose pill I'm on now--I had all the problems you mentioned, and insane mood problems on top o f it. I have several friends who tried the patch and had the same opinion--its worse, and they're not lower dosages than the low dose BC pill.
I'd honestly consider Mirena, but I've never had kids. From my understanding, its ideal for women who have given birth before.
Ask your gyno about an ultra low dose pill. Switching really really helped me. I'm on a generic version of Alesse--its considered an ultra low dose BC pill. I am really bad at remembering to take pills, but I simply set a daily alarm set on my cell phone. I've not had any issues with it the two years I've been taking it. Good luck!

Honestly, I've tried several types of BC and just like you I had a reaction to each one. After a while I gave up and I havent used BC in a loooong time. Condoms....ehhhh. Yeah....but ultimately I found the rhythm method to be the best. Of course there is risk if your guy has a hard time holding back, but hey your married and it feels better
to top it off....YOU FEEL better and its more natural to just be you and let nature, fate or destiny take it course when the time comes.
Good luck hun :O}
Oh, and getting knocked up doing pull and pray isn't "fate or destiny", it's biology.
Maybride is right. If you want to do something non-hormonal/device/pill/whatever, then read TCOYF. I'm 2/3 through it and looking forward to stopping NuvaRing. You have to check several symptoms and "chart". To me, it's worth charting to not have to take something synthetic. And then you can just use condoms, abstain, or choose something besides traditional penis-vagina sex during the "fertile" phase. Obviously do your homework to decide if this is something you want to try... but it's a good read if you want to learn more about your body!

Honestly my advice is to just test the waters yourself. Tell your doctor that you need something with even less hormones in it. Everyone's body reacts differently to different medications so no matter what anyone says, you won't know until you try it.
