Re: FFFC...who's got 'em?
I'll start.
The next time the right opportunity presents itself, I'm going to drop the L bomb on the FF.
I've felt this way for a long time and I've been too terrified of his reaction/response to actually do it. I'm going to throw caution to the wind and just go for it.
I am really upset with my family right now... and I may be seeing them tomorrow. Over fathers day weekend, my grandfather told my mom and I that my Uncle and his family would be in town all weekend, so we celebrated fathers day with him early. My aunt, uncle & 2 cousins showed up Friday night at 10pm to my grandfathers house and left at 7am the next morning for the beach. Guess they left that fact out... my mom and I were ticked b/c he spent the weekend alone and he didn't want to call and tell us. They are having a family b-day party for my oldest cousin tomorrow afternoon (she will be 15) My aunt sent fb invites to my mom and I trying to coordinate a time that worked best for us; two days after we had to put Anne (dog) down, and there were no condolences what so ever from them only talk of the b-day party. I know she was/is just a dog, but still irritated me. My mom and dad went out of town this weekend to avoid the party, and b/c I can't say no to my grandfather, I am going. I just feel like they use my grandfather, and only have contact with us on b-days and Christmas so their kids can get gifts. Did I mention that they live an hour from me, and drive right past my house to go to my grandfathers that is another hour south. They also come to the city I live in to shop and come here frequently but never call me or let me know so I could visit my cousins... only holidays or b-days. Come on family.
I am afraid H and I might break mil heart this weekend, but we warned her. If we show up at their house this weekend and sil is there, we are turning around and walking out without one word to anyone.
DH is pissing me off...He was so set to give his notice (which he did and then took back after talking to the GM) and start looking for a new job when the SH!T hit the fan a few weeks back and here we are (i have no idea how many weeks later) and he is still MISERABLE where he is and isn't looking for new work...He keeps saying he doesn't want to just go somewhere to go somewhere but if he doesn't leave it just makes it look like they way they treat people is okay...
I keep nagging him to at least LOOK for something but he is just not doing it. He has a possible position at another "resort" but it was just purchased by a new company (that has nothing to do with hotel management) and the current contract is up in November and no one knows what the new company plans to do with it aside from use it for training sessions and stuff. The idea that he would take a job that could end in November scares the CRAP out of me!!!
I've been helping with DH's cousin's wedding and MIL will not stop playing 20 Questions about the whole thing. I try to give her what information I do know so that she'll quit asking (she's so nosey) but it only prompts more questions. For example, I told her where the catering was coming from, and she asks me what they're having. Granted, I know these are questions to be expected but good lord!
I know I'm being snipping because of the situation we're in, and I should be grateful, and I am, but lord have mercy she is annoying!
Oh! I'm also doing my boudoir shoot next Friday!!! It was my reward for running the 1/2 in May but since the race I've been less than good about exercising and eating. I've only gone up about 3 pounds since, but I feel like crap.
No carbs for the next week!!!
I have a few:
-I have been slowing mixing decaf coffee with our regular and DH has not said a thing!
-This whole house buying thing is stressing me out. I hate to wait. I want my house! In the meantime, DH and I refuse to pack anything as we do not wan to jinx ourselves until we close.
Can you tell the difference? I hate that I drink so much coffee and would love to switch, but I've never liked the taste.
Last time H and i were in FL we were super tired around 2 or 3 in the afternoon and we couldn't figure out why. Turns out my mom was making decaf coffee.
I've cut back to 1 cup a day and I can tell the difference most days.
honestly, I can not tell. The regular is a strong french roast so adding a little decaf is not a big deal, to me.
I hate that I drink alot of coffee too so I am slowly to cutting back to 1 cup (well traveler's mug) a day. Seems to be working!
Ugh, looking at houses is getting ridiculous, we can't even agree on what houses to go to for open houses. DH keeps looking at these remote locations, which really bugs me, if we are going to buy in VA I would like to stay central to where we are currently located. It is a great commute to just about everywhere. We are close to friends etc.
He is looking at a place that is 1.5 hours away from DC, I would have to set up a telecommute agreement because I refuse to try and commute up I-95 5 days a week. I get that the price difference is almost $300K for the same house, which is huge. I get we wouldn't need to keep the same jobs. But why do that when we could move to CO and face the same kind of price difference in homes. But at least we are in the same state as our families in CO.
If his point was to make me not want to look at homes he is succeeding.

I am SO HAPPY that we're done with seeing DH's family for the summer. I love them, but we live 8 hours away, we shouldn't have to see them all the time. We've now had family time for 2+ days on 5 different occasions since mid-May.
My work is such a clusterf*ck. I don't even know what to do. There's been so much discussion about a sale (yay) but our major shareholder (small business) is blocking any negotiations we could have. This place is just filled with greedy greedy people and I'm so sad I ever came to work for such a sh*tty place.
We're going on a year of DH telling me "I'm gonna get a bigger store soon, don't apply for jobs anymore" and I'm going to flip a $hit if something doesn't happen soon. Seriously. I've been in a holding pattern for work while waiting on a buyer, and in life waiting for DH's next big thing. I'm so effing tired of waiting.

we are going to see Sils new house today and I am not bringing a house warming gift (besides wine that we'll drink) when we bought our house neither of them gave us a card/gift etc. I know it shouldn't matter, but I send cards all the time for bdays, engagements etc, yup and still no TY from their wedding (we did give our gift about a month after the wedding). I am bitter about it, but thats just me.

I don't usually post much...but I thought what the heck.
I'm really getting tired of DH not doing any housework or yardwork without me reminding him over and over....our house is a constant mess, our backyard looks like a jungle, and I'm the sole caretaker of all the animals. It gets overwhelming....
I want kids for selfish reasons...to name them and to see what they would look like.
I don't want kids for selfish reasons...they cost money, less me time etc.
So yea.....no kids planned in the near future!
