The randoms got me wondering about how/when people wear their wedding rings. Add comments if you want!

Re: Wedding ring poll
I never leave the house without it. I did ONE time and all day I had those "OMG I LOST MY RING - oh wait I just forgot to grab it" moments. I hate those. Scare the bejeezuz out of me. I like my ring a lot and it still fits perfectly so I wear it.
Kelly has lost 50 pounds since we got married. It literally falls off of his hand but he still wears it every day. I keep saying that we should get it sized or replaced but he says, "why? This one's fine." (He's such a weirdo.)
At the very least I guess I feel like we spent a lot of money on my ring so I should wear it. I assumed everyone did but I'm not one to notice those sorts of things so I don't really know. I might have to try to pay attention. Now I'm curious.
Never take it off. Once or twice in the last year, maybe.
TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
When not in the midst of this weird allergic reaction, I always, always, always wear my wedding band. It's a tiny diamond band, and I absolutely love it.
My engagement ring, on the other hand, I only wear that when I'm out during the week. It's the first thing I take off when I get home since I feel like it gets in the way around the house.
I more often don't wear mine than do. DH nevers wears his. Just not my thing, which is also why I don't have an expensive ring either. Why spend all that money if I'm not going to wear it?
Besides why do you need one any way? Everyone knows we are married. It doesn't change the way we feel about each other.
I feel naked without mine, like part of me is missing. This might sound corny, but everytime I look at it I think of my wedding day.
I do, however, take it off far too often to cook, put on lotion etc...I am a FREAK about lotion on rings...don't know why
I wear mine all the time except it comes off for things like lotion, working with meat, etc. I originally had a band custom made for it, planning on mostly just wearing that but when it was made, one side had grooves to "fit" next to the side diamonds so it needed to be soldered together. Oh well.
DH isn't supposed to wear his at work but does sometimes. Now that he's gone, he left it here since he doesn't want to get in trouble where he's working. Kinda makes me sad that he doesn't have it with him but a size 17 white gold ring didn't come as cheap as I would have liked so it's better here than lost.
Planning Bio/Blog
i wear mine all the time. I need to get it replated, the white gold looks like asss.
I sometimes will get a rash underneath it - my dr said that the ring will hold moisture in (depends on the design, my E ring looks like the pic below, but a different design on the sides), and its usually a breeding ground for bacteria or fungus or whatever it is. Doesnt help that I never take it off. Cleaner, meat, lotion, ect.....ugh. I need to get this thing cleaned up.
Windex!
Mine come off as soon as I get home and back on as soon as I leave. I feel naked without them on.
Ditto N on the windex and running under cold water.
I take it off when I'm cooking and it doesn't go back on until the next morning. I never wear it on the weekend if I'm just at home. I'll put it on when I leave the house but that's it. I feel naked leaving the house without it.
DH never takes his off....never.
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
I have tried cold water, and it didn't work. I also tried butter. I will try out the windex thing and see how it goes. I really want my engagement ring off. I love it, but I would prefer to just wear my band.
Unfortunately, I have pretty big knuckles, so that is about when I start screaming as I try and shove it over my knuckle.
Oh, and my DH never wears his out. It is too big, and he isn't a big jewelry person anyway. It doesn't bother me that he doesn't wear it.
I have mine on on a regular basis. At work there are times I take it off, like if we're doing clay, but I tie it onto the apron I wear. I took it off while helping my mom build her deck this summer, and ended up leaving it off for a couple weeks. It felt weird when I put it back on, but normally I feel naked without it.
DH takes his off on a daily basis. His fingers get skinnier as they go out, so it slides off anytime it gets wet. I don't take mine off unless I'm doing some sort of labor with my hands.
