SHould I put my maiden name on my resume? A few of the jobs I have listed on my resume I had under my maiden name and if they call to check dates of service it will be under that name. Should I list it on the top as:
FirstName LastName (MaidenName)
Or should I just leave it as my married name? Thanks!

Re: Maiden Name on Resume?
I do Firstname (Maiden Name) Lastname. But that's because I have publications under my maiden name.
Another option is to note on your list of references that you worked there as Firstname Maiden name

I only put my married. When it gets time for an employer to call past supervisors or employers (eg--- after a first interview), I let them know that XYZ will know me as former last name Jones.
I've seen online applications that ask if you have been known under any other name for that position. Solves the problem quite well!
I guess for me it would depend on how long you worked professionally under your married name and how established you were in your career at that point that you think your maiden name is some how key to readers of your resume to identify you.
For me, I was 38 and worked in my profession for 15 years and my city for 10 before getting married and changing my name. I'm 40 now, and would definitely use First Maiden MarriedLast (which is also now my legal name, with maiden as my middle name) on my resume. Most people I would network with might know I'm married, but think of me first and foremost as my maiden name.
