My grandfather passed away today
I've asked for good thoughts on several occassions over the last couple of years for my grandfather, who moved into a nursing home a few years ago and has had a few incidents since then.
Early this morning we got the call that we should come say our goodbyes and then he passed shortly before we got there.
He was a feisty guy to the end with more strength than you could imagine in a 92-year-old man who was down to skin and bones. He remained mobile and able to walk on his own until just the last few weeks, and only started using a cane maybe four years ago. While he had some bad days, he was still making us laugh just a few days ago.
Thanks for all the good thoughts you've sent out at each request. I wanted you to know that I appreciated them and give a final update.
