Designer Home Surplus Store?
Hey Dallas nesties - DH and I are considering buying a viking range from The Designer Home Surplus Store in Dallas....

Any of you have experience with this company/have purchased appliances from here before?
Thanks!

Yes! DH and I just got a new cook top from there last month. We worked with Rob. Very helpful. You can definitely find lower quality products for cheaper, but if you're looking for high end (like Viking as you mentioned) I think they have really great prices.
They were still setting up their showroom when we went, but they have some awesome set ups in the back if you go to the actual store. We'd use them again.
Good to know! We are looking to buy a 48 inch Viking range and I can't seem to figure out why their prices are so low (like, half of what I am being quoted in OKC). The inventory on the internet says "New in box" so....why are they so cheap? I am guessing they are dinged a bit or something but I am not sure. Thanks so much for the information!
I'm an employee at Designer Home Surplus/Elite Appliance. Designer Home Surplus is the outlet for Elite Appliance (http://.eliteappliance.com). The reason our prices are so low on Designer Home Surplus is that the items are typically last year's models or excess inventory we purchased in bulk at a low price. We also have some items that were showroom models or used in some way. However, these will be labeled as such with damage descriptions when dings are present.
I can assure you that anything labeled 'New In Box' is still in its unopened original box. These items are no different in condition compared to buying a current catalog item from a dealer (such as Elite Appliance).
The showroom location mentioned above is now open under the name of Elite Appliance. You can shop for items from both companies at this location. It is located next to the Galleria in Dallas.
If you have any questions please give us a call at the number on our websites. We will be glad to help you with this purchase. Thank you for considering us!
Hey there - I am sending you a PM.
