Opinions on blanket please (PIP)
I am sewing a blanket for new baby. I have cotton and minky... The minky is a bigger piece (and I want to make a BIG blanket)...
I am planning on doing the corners like this ---

How do you think it would look if the fabrics were reversed? So, the cotton would be on the "inside" and the minky would be the corners?

Totally, luckly, both fabrics are very stiff (firm?) so I don't think anything will bunch.
I learned that the hard way making a baby blanket for a friend... I have never looked at jersey cotton the same again. ;-)
I don't think it will be as "cozy" since quilter's cotton is not typically snuggly blankie material KWIM? You could do it, but I think the minky will be a PITA to do mitered corners with.

Maybe i will just do it how the pic has it.. it will still be a large blanket... thanks ladies!
Are you planning on quilting the cotton fabric on the main part of the blanket? It will look great reversed. The combination of fabric is so cute.
