XP: How to clean a Dyson Animal?
I can't find the manual. I've been vacuuming up diatomaceous earth at my parent's house and I'm gonna have to clean the vacuum. It took me 45 minutes, but I got the upstairs done!Too bad the downstairs is even bigger...And also, everything is covered in a fine layer of this powder. So I'm going to mop and whatnot. I dusted, but the layer is still there! Should I try dry dusting with a swiffer or something?

Re: XP: How to clean a Dyson Animal?
There are several Dyson animal models. Which one do you have? Did you go to the Dyson website to get information? I believe you can see manuals there or call customer service to find out the information for your model.

I took mine apart and rinsed it with a garden hose. The set it outside (desert heat) in shade for a day to completely dry. Worked like new!
I flushed out the entire cyclone part. There was quite a bit of dirt caked in there which flushed out easily. I also rinsed the filter (do that a few times per year)
