Recommend your slow cooker

Mine is cheap and I think it runs too hot. I want to buy a better one. Don't ask me what size I need because I have no fuucking clue. Alls I know is that the one I have is 5 qt.

Re: Recommend your slow cooker

  • The problem might be that it is too big for what you are cooking. To work a crock pot should always be filled at least 3/4 of the way up. When I don't have mine full enough it ends up drying stuff out.  I don't have a fancy one but I want one with a timer so my suggestion to get one with a timer.

  • I have the one Chris posted because it was what a majority of ladies here were suggesting when I was looking to replace mine.

The one I previously had was a nice fancy Kitchenaid make and I wouldn't recommend it at all.   The interior ceramic thing cracked after only a handful of uses and I got another ceramic thing from them and that one cracked too after only a few uses.

Oh, yeah, that's definitely part of my problem since we're only a family of 3. But I've found that it still cooks very quickly even when I've filled it up a lot. I've been good at guesstimating cook times when I make something that serves 4 but I've never ever left it unattended, I check it often.
  • I got mine from Kohl's... I think it's the Hamilton brand... love it!

We received this one at my bridal shower and I love it. Like want to kiss the damn thing I love it so much!  They make a smaller one too. 4qt I think.
