Where to sell back clothes for kids?

We had a garage sale but my little fashionista has a lot of clothes left over. I was looking to sell back her clothes to a shop like Once Upon a Time or something similar. I don't really want to do a consignment where you have to wait to be paid, I'd rather just be done with it. Besides Once Upon a Time, are there any other places I should maybe try? What is the procedure or avg pay for clothes. Olivia's clothes are in great shape, mostly children's place or target brands...ANything I should know before I try? Thanks!

  • I'm going to be very honest and say that if it didn't sell at a garage sale then the places probably won't take them either. They tend to be a bit picky so maybe a better bet would be to catalog what you have and donate it. Then you'll get some $ back when you do taxes.

  • I would take them to Once Upon a Child...I think they take the most clothes and give you the best $$. Honestly, I find that they give me more $ than what I would get at a garage sale for them. Most tops are $1-$1.75 and most pants are $2-$3.

I think they take most brands but not alot of Carter's stuff, simply because they usually have too much of Carter's stuff anyway.

I'm with both ladies. Take it to OUAC, see what they'll take and then Goodwill the rest. Their website says they'll look through it while you wait and pay you cash on the spot, but I've had people tell me they've had to leave it and come back for their money. Either way, they pay you for it outright, you don't have to wait until they sell it to get paid.
  • You wouldn't get as much money, but you could also try selling it as a lot on Craigslist.

  • Thanks ladies! I'm not trying to make any bucco bucks but a little would be helpful. I think I will try OUAC tomorrow. Thanks
