Happy Monday all! How was everyone's weekend?
I was out playing baseball all weekend and I didn't totally suck! I didn't get a great hit until my very last at bat. It was nice to finally really connect with the ball. I did, however, manage to burn my part. I always forget to put sunscreen on my head. It's rather painful today.
Saturday after I got back home Tim called before I'd even had a chance to change asking if we want to go to Wonderland (amusement park). They'd been there with the girls earlier in the day and could get back in for free, so, we quickly changed our clothes and headed out. We got there around 6 and stayed until 11. It ended up being a lot of fun. Because we were there after dinner time and it had started raining off and on all of the lines for the rides were really short. We probably got in as many rides that evening as we would have if we'd been there all day, but in the early afternoon.
We're getting a new furnace and central air installed tomorrow (YAY!) so tonight will likely be spent getting the house ready. I'm so excited.
Re: Goooooood Morning!
I am SO jealous of your central a/c!
This weekend was good. We went to see Captain America on Friday night and Harry Potter on Saturday. I loved Harry Potter, not so much Captain America--but the a/c at the theater was welcome relief! Sunday we were invited to a BBQ, but I didn't feel great, so we just hung out at home instead...
Today is beautiful here...mid-70s and partly cloudy. We should have thunderstorms this evening, but I am planning on getting a good run in today. I also have to go to Walmart and to drop off some clothes that we are donating from cleaning out closets. And I have some reading to do, both for my class and for school this fall, so I will probably sit on the deck and do that today too.

Hi Ladies,
Well it's back to work for me....BOO! I hate coming back to this place and of course it is the last week of the month so it will be crazy for me. (Big surprise).
Yesterday I went to NH with the boys to meet my friends newly adopted twins. OMG they were freaking adorable, and I forgot how tiny my boys were when they were born. Of course we did leave earlier then expected because I have now experienced Zach's first official nightmare meltdown. OMG, I cried (he screamed) almost the whole way home. Ughh he got the best of me.
Anyhow today is a new day, and he is back to his old happy kid. Have a great day ladies.
Good morning, all! It's still ridiculously hot over here--not sure if it's back to normal for D.C. weather, but it still sucks.
This weekend was good. We got a ton of chores done and ended up making plane, hotel and car rental reservations for a bat mitzvah in Florida that we're going to in August. Should be interesting--it's the first time H has been to visit his parents in nearly four years. He doesn't really want to go, but figured that the event was a good way to set a precedent by not staying with them. We'll see how it goes.
Tonight should be a low key one. Nothing too much going on.
Have a great day, everyone.
We had a pretty good weekend. It was ridiculously hot, so we mostly stayed home. That means that we got an insane amount of housework done, which feels great. I also made bread in the bread machine and Nutella cupcakes that were only sort of meh.
The boss is out Tuesday & Wednesday and Thursday I am leaving early to head home to see my sister and have a ginormous garage sale of a lot of my parent's stuff. Plus, I have a meeting to run, a grant report to write and payroll to do this week, so I should be busy.
It's still hot out, but not quite as bad as it was last week, which is good since my niece and nephews will be arriving tonight. They are staying with Grandma and will be here for two weeks, so I imagine we will have a sleep over at least once.

Good morning. "Frosty" the freezer repair man got our trailer fixed on Friday. He turned out to be awesome. Kyle called him at 3:00 on Friday and asked if he could look at our freezer and have it fixed by Friday evening in enough time so that it would be cold by Saturday morning. Not only did he look at it right away he also offered to stop by the farmer's market on Saturday if we experienced any problems. Then he called us during the market just to make sure that it was working properly. We didn't have any problems with it, even in the crazy heat. To combat the heat I did a lot of shopping at the market, so we're eating tons of fresh produce this week. Yay! After the market we lounged in the a/c for the rest of the evening.
Yesterday I accomplished quite a bit of housework. I finished everything on my to-do list except for cleaning the bathrooms. So tonight my plan is to clean the bathrooms. My boss is out sick today so it should be a nice quiet day in the office.
Morning Ladies.
What can I say, it's Monday.
We had an ok weekend. DH was hit on the interstate Saturday morning in the new car. We have made 1 stinkin payment on that thing. He is ok, a little sore so that is all that matters. It could have been a lot worse going 60+ MPH. I spent the day getting stuff done around the house. Saturday night, we went to a festival in town to catch some live music but 10 minutes into it we got kicked out of the park due to severe weather so ended up going to a bar and playing some darts instead.
Sunday, we just had a lazy day. DH has had a terrible week ending with the accident so we took it easy, snuggled, watched movies and napped all day long. Then we had dinner with SIL, BIL and out nieces ending the day with a nice long walk.
Hoping this week is better than last week for us and really hoping to get the nursery started. I am starting to wonder if this poor child will ever have a room.
Have a great week ladies!
Hi all! This weekend was fantastic! Friday night we went to dinner on the river in Providence. We took the first ferry over to Block Island (a resort island off the coast of Rhode Island/Connecticut) on Saturday morning and went straight to the beach. We stayed at the cutest hotel there on Saturday night and then biked around the island yesterday and took the last ferry back last night. I stayed with H at his place in Connecticut last night and then had to take the 5:30AM (ugh) Amtrak back to Boston this morning for work.
Tonight is yoga after work and I won't get home from that until 9ish, so it will be a long day to say the least. I wish I was back on the beach!
Good morning everyone. I had a fabulous weekend in NYC with my mom, except that it was ridiculously hot. We caught two musicals: Memphis and How to Succeed in Business Without Trying (the one with Daniel Ratcliff). We also went to Ellis Island, the Guggenheim, the NBC Studio tour, and did some shopping. Overall, a great trip.
And now, it's back to the grind. I need to dig in today and get a bunch of stuff done.
Hope everyone has a good one.
Good morning!
We had a pretty chill weekend at home. My mom went home on Saturday evening and came back last night. I love her and she's been a godsend but it was really nice to have some family time alone too. I think Darian's going through a growth spurt; I did nothing but nurse him all day yesterday. Hopefully that means he'll sleep more today and tonight.
Today is V's first day back at work so it's pretty quiet around here. I'm glad mom's still around though, or else I think I'd be going pretty crazy. I can't wait to get out of the house again (for something other than doctor's appointments).

Good Morning,
This weekend was crazy busy, but in a good way. We found out my brother and his wife are having a girl, the name Jane Eyre (seriously). Most of the family is hoping they change their minds....
Today Myles and I went shopping, and now I feel like cooking so I'm making deviled eggs, and prepping for dinner. I'm starting to get antsy and need to do more each day. It's been too humid for walks, but I think we may try tonight.
I am also scheduling an appointment with a dietician today because ever since the triplets my body doesn't seem to be responding to the changes in my diet that have helped lose weight in the past, and quiet frankly I'm just kinda sick of being disgusted when I look in the mirror.
That's it.
Good morning, ladies.
We had the usual busy weekend, with bike rides (training for an organized ride in 2 weeks) plus yard work. THe bad part was that DH would not stop snoring last night and woke me up about 57 times. Usually I can get him to move without waking him up and it stops, but not this time. Then Cheddar wanted attention at 3am. I can't wait to get home.
Have a great day, everyone!
Morning. This weekend was low key - highlight was probably laying out near the locks that let the boats come and go into Puget Sound while reading our books. It was 86 here and stuffy in the house.
I didn't sleep well last night, I had a 7am meeting on the other side of town, bus schedules hadn't lined up so I had to drive. I HATE driving in Seattle. I made it to work without an anxiety attack, so that was good.
DH takes kiddo home tonight and has to stay up in AK for work for a week, so I'm going from a full house to an empty one. For once, I might actually enjoy it.
