Anyone up to anything exciting this week?

Re: MMPP

  • Nothing too exciting, but I am *finally* finishing up the little cabinets I have been painting for the basement.  We installed the first one last night, and hopefully will install the shelves and a second cabinet in the next couple days.  I found out that the door of the third cabinet rubs the frame when opened/closed, so now I have to sand down the frame and re-paint part of it.  :(  Hopefully it won't take a month this time!
  • My SIL is having her baby tomorrow!!!  That's the only excitement I have for the week!
  • Today - Going to Costco for lunch with DH and DS and buying the dining room table and chairs set that we've been eyeing for a week now.

Wednesday - Packing up more of the house while DS is at daycare and then I have a bachelorette party that evening at a girl's house for wine and dinner.

We don't have any other big plans than that so far.  We'll be working on little things with the house (getting the paperwork turned in for our mortgage application on the new house, scheduling an interior decorator to come to the new house for paint color ideas, etc.)

  • I'm so excited that DH is actually in town this week!!!

I have no major plans this week, but I am running the warrior dash on Sunday this upcoming weekend!

  • Much of the same this week - still trying to get setteled in the new house.  I'm sure this will take weeks - I'll stop telling you about it so that I don't sound like a broken record.  The exciting thing is that we have friends getting married on Thursday so I took a vacation day for that.  And two of my neices are in a play and I'm going to see it on Friday night.

  • oooo, I haven't done a MMPP in eons!

DH and I are having our annual summer bash party this weekend... so we're cleaning the house and yard and going shopping to buy supplies. :)

  • Zumba tonight.

Then I am not sure what is the rest of the week.

Taking Hunter to his first Tigers game Saturday.

DS has acid relux and milk protein allergy, and had torticollis, used to EP, now we FF . April siggy 3-6 month

  • Nothing too exciting.  I start a new session of yoga tonight.  We just ordered our duteliar glider yesterday for 20% off!  This morning I ordered the crib.  Other than that, just the regular grocery shopping, cleaning, etc.  I'm going to try to finally start washing baby clothes & putting stuff away in the nursery at some point.

  • Exciting?? Sort of, but not exactly fun.

I have to select likely funeral luncheon venues in Ann Arbor, as my mother is not expected to live more than a few days. It's the opposite of finding a reception venue -- you still don't know how exactly many people are coming, and at best you will have 2 days' notice!

Any suggestions for a place (not downtown A2, the out-of-towners couldn't handle the driving and parking problems) would be welcome.

I am so sorry you're going through this right now.  You and your family will be in my prayers.

A couple possible restaurants that aren't downtown are Paesano's which is on Washtenaw, I know they have a banquet room so you would have some privacy.  Also, Carson's on Plymouth Road but they have a $500 minimum for their banquet room but maybe because of your circumstance they would waive it.
